I have a complaint regarding vericred. This company has no compassion for the elderly pensioner. My mums lancet account was handed over to vericred. Vericred has been adding amounts on the account every time they called and sent an sms and email. The account from R625 went up to +- R1050. My mum is unable to check emails. And to do payments. I explained to them that I was not around and my mum only told me about this recently. I explained that my mum is not in a position to afford to pay the extra charges, etc...... as she relies on her pension and small income from rent that she uses for her medication and day to day expenses. They refused to listen to anything. My mum was charged +- R10 or R15 for every sms and +-R28 for every email sent and not sure but over +- R20 for every call. I understand if they charged the amount she was owing and a small collection fee. But to charge per call and sms and email. That is ridiculous. I asked them to please reverse the charges for the calls and smss and emails. But they refused to help. This has really put a lot of stress and tension on a person who is in financial difficulty and sickly. I am very disappointed to know how humans can be so hard and harsh and have a no care attitude towards the sick elderly pensioner. This company is not helpful at all.
Good day. I am very disappointed with vodacom 2+ years ago I have taken out a red flexi 80 package where you pay R80 and get R80 airtime value. I have a few contracts with vodacom. I had a number which I wanted to keep so I had to take out a 24-month contract. I kept that sim away thinking that the R80 allocated every month will accumulate and can use it at the time when I require. I recently wanted to use the Sim and checked the airtime value and seen I only have R175. To my knowledge I'm supposed to have over R1920. I called vodacom customer care to ask them why was it that I only have R175 and not what I was expecting to have. The consultant told me that the airtime they allocate only carries forward for 3 month and then gets forfeited. Vodacom is practically robbing me. They debit my account for R80 every month and give the R80 airtime every month, but they force you to use it within a time frame. That is ridiculous. It's not that they returning my R80 if I don't use the R80 they allocate to me. At the end of it all I am paying R80 for R80 airtime I don't think it's fair that they force you to use within a certain time we should accumulate and use as we wish we paying for it. If we don't use it they take it away but don't return our money for not using it. This is day light *******. I would like all my money to be paid back to me as I have not used any of the R80 over the 24 + month that was allocated to me. R80 x 24 which totals up to R1920. Actually supposed to be more as I have contracts more then 24 months I didn't use a cent of the airtime and paid for all those months. All that was just taken away from me. It is only fair that vodacom returns my full money back for all the months as I have not used the contract at all.
