I had a loan eith Sanlam. 2024 I requested outstanding balance so I csn settle the loan. I was sent the amount and paid. When I requested a paid uo letter they told me I still owe R1000. When I later requested the written down amount in 2026 they gave me an amount of R5400. When I questioned if this is legal and wh were they not calling me to say I still owe them I received not response. Its now 2 months
Aftervbeing on debt review with debt busters from 2023 to 2026 I paid up a debt mid January and sent them proof there and then avoiding a debit order that will inconvinience me. End of February they still debited. I called them to cerrect that and they acknowledged and promised me 5 working days. It did not happen. I called again and was told that the money will be in my account on Tuesday 10 March. Today is the 12th of March there is still no money in my account. I had to hold for about 12 minutes or more for them to sort out my issue. Ine will not believe that after the many promises I was told the money will be paid on Friday.
I paid an RCS account directly to the provider and not to consumer friend. I sent a proof of payment on the 29th of October that an amount of R45k was paid into RCS account. I have been following up with Consumer friend for some time and they kept on telling me they have escalated the issue with RCS. To my surprise on the 2nd of December i called RCS and they repoerted that there was never an email from Consumer Friends. I called again on the 9th of December and talked to another agent and she told me the same thing. She only confirmed one email from Consumer friend sent on the 9th of December. How can such a big company not care about a consumer's transaction of such a big amount. Are they really friends?
