I took an insurance called affinity affordable through them when I bought a car. With the understanding that my car is covered the minute it leaves the dealership. My car had an accident in December, hit by a wild animal. I reported the accident and made a claim. They assigned an an assessor to inspect the damages of the vehicle, the assessor told me I must just send pictures of the car, I live too far so they won’t come. I emphasised that my car could be seriously damaged in some parts of the engine, but they dismissed and said it will be a digital assessment. My claim got rejected because my damages are below access, there was not even a transparency of what they quoted to reach that decision. They rejected my claim and told me to fix my own vehicle. I took my car to panelbeaters and they found damages on my engine as had thought, more than 60k of damages, and even made a quote for me. This broker could not even make means to ensure my case is fairly conducted and concluded. They didn’t assist in at least making sure a physical assessment is done, or confronting their referred insurance to take responsibility for what they promised to their clients. I urge people to never insure with anything that has to do with this broker. Especially affinity with their poor service and non communication. They exploit their clients. And when they have to pay, they add penalties they never told you about when you took the insurance.

They concluded my claim on pictures of a front damaged bumper, even I insisted on a physical assessment. They rejected my claim. And told me to fix my car by my own money. I took the car to Panelbeaters to assess damages. And they found so many damages on my engine, the fan, the radiator, etc. they don’t make any communication with their clients. Whether you call or send email. They don’t respond, unless you tell the broker. Their service is poor and they don’t care about their clients. They just want their money. I urge people to never ever take this affinity affordable insurance.
