Affinity Insurance
Based on recent customer reviews, Affinity Insurance receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, primarily centered on claims handling and poor communication. Customers frequently report rejected claims, excessive delays lasting months, and an inability to reach staff via phone or email. Cancellation difficulties and unauthorized debit orders are recurring frustrations. Several reviewers feel misled about policy terms, particularly around excess amounts and coverage exclusions. However, a smaller group of satisfied customers praise individual agents such as Leigh-Anne Andrews, Brandon Singh, and Siphokazi Mhlongo for prompt, professional, and empathetic service, suggesting pockets of strong customer care exist within the organization.

My car had an accident. And it has serious damages. That pose a serious harm to my engine. I reported the accident and made a claim. They assigned an assessor to inspect damages of the car. The assessor called me to send pictures of the car. And indicated they won’t come to physically asses the car because I live too far. They concluded my claim on pictures of a front damaged bumper, even I insisted on a physical assessment. They rejected my claim. And told me to fix my car by my own money. I took the car to Panelbeaters to assess damages. And they found so many damages on my engine, the fan, the radiator, etc. they don’t make any communication with their clients. Whether you call or send email. They don’t respond, unless you tell the broker. Their service is poor and they don’t care about their clients. They just want their money. I urge people to never ever take this affinity affordable insurance.

I don;t understand why is it so hard to cancel insurance with this company. I cannot afford the premiums currently due to work situation and added responsibilities but they refuse to cancel they take me from pillar to post

I had a car accident on the 25th of July 2025 and Affinity said I shouldn’t take any tow truck besides the one that they recommended and I did as advised. While awaiting the claim process which was declined, the problem now is that the drivers door control system was vandalised and my battery went missing in the process. I’ve been trying to find out who took my battery and what happened to my door since 16 September 2025, all they say is “we are still investigating.” I’m done fixing my car I need the battery and no one seems to care.

I have been with Affinity Car Insurance (AFFB718246) for over a year now and never missed a payment. My car has been with the company for over TWO MONTHS now and still no way forward regarding my claim. I have been making multiple attempts to communicate with them regarding my claim and they keep saying the file has to be signed off by the insurer. I just need a decision to be made by the company because I'm beginning to become frustrated.
