I ordered a chaize lounge from Macro and the delivery date is today, the 8th August 2025. Except there is no delivery. I phoned Macro and they said the supplier, Penna Furniture, is not ready!!! No details given at all. I suggest Makro manage their suppliers properly, as it is Makro's reputation that will suffer. That's just dumb business in my opinion. I am extremely dissapointed, and now have no idea when, or if indeed my furniture will be delivered at all. I will never buy from Macro again. If my couch is not here by Monday, I will cancel my order and demand a refund. Talk about missed opportunity to be reviewed positively, Makro.
I was forced to give a 1 star rating or else cannot post a review, so please ignore 1 star, because ESKOM deserve no stars at all. I tried to disconnect a service, only to be told I had to wait 7 business days to do so. I phoned on the 7th day. The extremely rude call centre operator, Bongeka, (she refused to give me her surname) refused to deal with my request as I had to wait up to a full 7 days! I pointed out to her that this could not be correct as someone from ESKOM had phoned me about 3 days ago while I was out of the office. I asked that person to phone back as I could not give her the meter reading without access to the file. She did not call back, so I phoned today. I was told very rudely and arrogantly, that my request was dated a day later (not so, I have the email) and that therefore I had to just wait for ESKOM to call me. I asked what the proceedure would be to get a refund of the deposit, and was told she could not help me. I first had to wait for the disconnection and then start a whole new process to claim the refund. I cannot believe that a company that is collapsing would not treat all customers with courtesy and tact instead of pedantic rudeness. So glad I am disconnecting the service. Unbelievable "customer service"!!!
Dear Hello Peter At the beginning of 2017 I asked Passport 2000, who operate from Edenvale, Gauteng, to assist me in obtaining an unabridged marriage certificate from the notorious Department of Home Affairs. I was asked to pay R2 109.00 and which I did at the beginning of 2017. I then waited for months, in between phoning Rhonda Basson, the owner, every few weeks for an update. After waiting for over a year, and listening to one excuse after another, I finally found another agency to help, who managed to communicate with the Department and within 2 weeks I got a sms to say I could collect the Certificate. I discussed this with Rhonda and asked her to refund my money which she refused to do, citing admin expenses. Eventually she agreed to refund the greater portion of my money. This agreement was reached at the end of July 2018. I have not received a cent to date, despite advising her I would have no choice but to take the matter further. I really want to warn other people of this unscrupulous conduct.
