I took a capfin loan on February 2025 and I was paying so well then Capfin decided to top me up with another loan in May 2025.I continue paying but now I'm struggling to pay because I'm no longer working. I called capfin and I was told to email my documents to Abacus. I did so as I was told, Didn't receive any feedback until I called Abacus then I spoke to Duduzile and she told me that they didn't receive my documents. She told me to email them to her email address and I did just that. After few days I receive a call from Zanele, she told me my UI19 form was outstanding. I sent the document to her. The following day I receive a call from her telling me that they called my previous employer asking her to verify if I was working for that company. And my previous employer told her that she can't give out my details because the POPIA ACT doesn't allow her to do that. I was instructed to call my boss. I email my boss I didn't receive any response. I called her I couldn't find her. I left a voicemail still no response. I later emailed Zanele and informed her about what was happening, I gave her another number that she can call for verification. She's been quite. I tried emailing her again today no response. I feel that Abacus is unfair cause all the documents they need i have provided. Its not my fault that my previous employer didn't give them the information they needed. Now I'm here worried about my credit score and how I'll be handed to lawyers. Abacus please come to my rescue please I'm not coping. Bad credit record will affect me for the rest of my life
Hello Peter My name is Thembisile from Gauteng Province. I actually regret opening a Homechoice account. I recently took a fridge from Homechoice and I was paying every month on time, but they will keep on calling me almost everyday 3times a day to ask me when will I pay. And i will tell them but i pay every month. Why are you calling me? Then I recently lost my job, I called them to notify them and they told me to send my documents to claim for the insurance. I did just that but I'll keep on receiving calls everyday about payments. I called them regarding the insurance and they told me that they did receive my documents and my claim will be processed soon. I must just ignore the calls from Homechoice. But how will I know it's homechoice cause they call from different numbers. Ignoring calls might make me miss a job opportunity cause I have app**** to different companies. But I can't stand homechoice harassment. But up until now nothing has been done about my claim, no feedback nothing. Keep on getting 100 calls the whole day. I called them today to get feedback about the insurance, they answered my call and i was put on hold for more than 10 minutes until i had to hang up because of watsed resources and time. They just wasting my time and resources. I wonder how are owners not doing anything about complaints. Don't we matter to them? So many complaints but we are still not being taken serious as customers.So disappointing. Do they even understand how frustrating it is being unemployed and then keep on receiving harassing calls. So I must now stop job hunting and answer their calls everyday. I will get a job that i know for sure and i will pay my debts in full but i will make sure that i cut all ties with them and I would never recommend Homechoice to anyone.
