Netstar is PROBLEMATIC. Their accounting department can't keep things straight and they give varying amounts. There have been times when I got an alert from them and when I tried to respond I was blocked from replying on the app, but no one called me to ask if I was ok. - I even opened a case with their company weeks ago and they don't even have the decency to respond. - They gave me bad information about how much an emergency button would cost. I was overcharged R 295 for the emergency button and they refuse to respond to me. They always say they will look into it and leave it there. - Think twice before joining this company. - Just try to get out of a contract and it will cost you thousands.
Cartrack has given me a lot of PROBLEMS. After trying their camera and finding it was terrible, I downgraded to a more basic system. - Trying to set and unset the carwatch alert is a real pain. You can't set it immediately after turning off the car. You have to wait a while, usually 1 1/2 - 3 minutes and sometimes up to 5 minutes. Then if you forget to unset and start the car an alert is sent to them. I have had times when they didn't call me and when I tried to follow up they have no real answer as to why they didn't respond. Other times they try to call and if they don't get me they don't call back and don't call my alternate number. - There are times when they do well, but it is very inconsistent! - Just try to get out of a 3 year contract - Ha! It will cost you thousands!!
******* - I put a deposit of R10,000 on a car and when I decided not to take it they didn't give me a cent back. Be very careful when dealing with these people! - I gave them my banking details, but they kept all that money!!
Not good with after sales service on used cars. I bought a used 2020 car from CMH Nissan Hillcrest that was licensed to me in January 2026. After a week or so I heard a noise in the brakes and took it back to the salesman. He said, ‘That’s how these cars are.’ No offer to have the workshop look at it. - Then about 3 weeks after getting the car the battery went dead. I had it tested at a battery shop and the print out said it needed replaced. I sent a picture of the print out to my salesman and he said battery companies were just trying to make money. Again, no offer of having the workshop look at it.
