I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from both Qatar Airways and Travelstart. I purchased a ticket for R9,800 but was unable to travel due to unforeseen circumstances. I promptly submitted all the required supporting documents, yet my situation was not given fair consideration. Despite this, I have been informed that in order to change my travel dates, I am required to pay a penalty of R14,000. This is completely unreasonable. How can the penalty exceed the cost of the original ticket? It feels unjustified and exploitative, especially given that my situation was beyond my control and properly documented. I expect a fair review of my case and a reasonable resolution. At the very least, the penalty should be proportionate to the original fare. As it stands, this experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing.
