Happy with the service from Pretty and outcome of the call.
Happy with service from Maduvha Thathaisa and outcome of call.
Iberia changed one of our return flights without informing us at all. We then incurred extra costs because we had to stay in Europe longer and now they are refusing a refund. First they delay and take a very long time to respond (hoping I will go away) and then claim they did inform us of the change. Three separate parties with different reservation numbers, three different telephone numbers and three different e-mail addresses and no-one received any notification.

Most woman (and many men) rely on the petrol attendants at the fuel forecourts to check oil, water and tyre pressure. Make sure you do not get the staff at Caltex North Point, Impala Park, Boksburg to touch your car. They do not worry about doing a proper job and about a month ago, they checked the water but did not tighten the water filler cap.

In 15 minutes the engine was completeley destroyed as all the water had been blown out - the water cap was actually still in the engine compartment.

They refer you to their insurance and the insurance then send you a standard letter informing you that the staff took reasonable care and that there are signs up indicating it it your responsibility. Firstly, how can someone take reasonable care and the cap blows off in a few minutes and secondly, there are actually no signs at the petrol pump area (I have my own photos proving there are no signs).

No assistance from forecourt management and standard routine responses from Chevron, the head office.

R60 000 for a new engine plus hire costs and no-one at Caltex cares.

In SA the average anual salary review is around the official inflation, which is about 6%. Virgin Active know this but choose to ignore it and increase their annual fees by 15% - that is two and half times the annual inflation.

When you phone the call centre they say the increases are not set by them but rather by each club, notwithstanding that I have a national membership.

Their letter is cleverly written as well and does not tell you what the increase is, it simply informs you of the new monthly cost. They rely on the fact that most people do not check the increase percentage.

I also have little option to change gyms as they are the only gym close to both home and work.

Another case of the consumer being ripped off!!!

One week after logging a claim and no word from Miway. Left several (I mean lots) of voice messages and Request for Callback - NOTHING. Sent e-mails - NOTHING. Costing me a hire car each day! Do they care? NO
I spent about R1000 at the Cornwall Hardware on the corner of Piering and Boeing Street which included a 5 litre tin of colour mixed paint and specifically checked if they were open on Sunday in case I needed more paint. When I went there on Sunday to buy more paint to finish the wall I had started, they had not recorded the paint code on the tin, which is the norm. Staff simply refused to assist and claimed they are only human. When I explained I needed to finish the wall that day, they claimed it was not their problem. The manager provided no assistance and refused to get the owner to contact me. I left my number requesting a call from the owner - 4 days later and still nothing.
Found out later that one of the other tins of paint I bought for R359 sells for R279 down the road - exactly the same paint.
