Today was the 3rd time I have now visited this new outlet and the 2nd time that I have experienced bad customer service. Staff is untrained and definitely only on the floor for their paycheck nothing else. Service at the hot foods and bakery sections are pathetic at best and today after patiently waiting in line and selecting what I wanted to eat, the server proceeds, then leaves me hanging to attend to a different order for someone else. And the Manager? Well The manager was too busy having his own meal that just puts a person off immediately. So Checkers, you might be cheaper but your customer service definitely sucks Mr Wilburn Du Plessis.
Received a notification from Toyota on a recall of the airbag and made a booking with Godrich Toyota for the replacement of the airbag at no cost. Arrived at Godrich early and booked in the vehicle. The lady asked if they can wash the vehicle and I clearly stated NO. Went to collect my vehicle just after 15h30 and discovered a crack approximately 20cm long right in the middle of my windscreen. Enquired what happened and Henk Faber the Service Manager walked out and said oh look a stone chip. Fact remains that there would be NO Crack if they washed the vehicle which I doubt caused it crack. My no cost turns into the replacement of my windscreen now at an inconvenient time. They did not even have the courtesy to call me and inform me that the windscreen had cracked while they were supposedly washing my vehicle which I did not request and stated as much. Furthermore - I am aware of 2 other stone chips which did not run so why this one right in the middle of the windscreen where they were working? I dispute the stone chip excuse.
I have made several purchases from this company in the last 5 years and mid last year purchased a BELJ Laptop Power Bank hailed as one of the best. 5 months later in December 2024 it suddenly stopped working. It would charge slow and not hold a charge. I returned it to Arbalest as it was still under the 1 year warranty. Arbalest returned the unit claiming they could find no fault - the unit is still unresponsive and does not work. AND DON'T Buy BELJ *******.
I placed an order for 4 Grade 3 educational books for my son and Jade was very quick to accept my payment and even sent me a fake link for a tracking number with The Courier Guy - when I click on the link the courier does not recognize - the phone is auto answered and you are directed to whatsapp on a different number but no whatsapp is linked - so money gone and no products received.
Last week I made a purchase at Pick n Pay in the Doringkloof mall. There were issues with vouchers and subsequently my Smart Shopper card went missing. I returned to the store and was assisted by a very friendly lady called Amanda who issued me with a new card but was unable to get in touch with the support team to transfer my existing points from the old card to the new card. She told me to come back in on any other day and they would gladly assist me to get the card activated correctly and get points transferred for me. I returned to the store on the 22nd December and asked for Amanda but she was not in. I explained to a gent by name of Michael my dilemma but he went into an entire explanation that I must use a landline and make the call myself to transfer the card points. As I am on holiday in the area and do not have access to a landline i tried explaining it to him but he appeared very reluctant - more interested in just leaning against the parcel counter being lazy by appearance. I am disappointed that Pick n Pay staff has such bad attitudes, surely I am a paying customer contributing to their wages. Not the first store with such bad attitude, but definitely the worst yet.
