On 25th May I purchases 3 vacuum packed Porter House Steaks from Checkers Brackenhurst. Last night I took them out to cook dinner for the family. They were green from rot, kitchen stinks and had to arrange takeaways. This is not the first time and going back to the store for a refund is nonesense. It costs more in money and time to go back to the store than the actual price of premium steaks. How can people trust going to their local supermarket when there is no quality control. Maybe time for a change!!!!

First off – I am more than willing to pay for items that I bought. This whole issue is leaving a bad taste behind. On Monday, 25 May 2026 at 14:56, I purchased items at Checkers Club Crossing. Unfortunately, there was a problem on Checkers’ side, and the software they use did not communicate with their printer. They then claimed that the payment had not gone through to my bank. After I received 3 notifications from my bank confirming that the payment had in fact gone through, they attempted to trace the payment on their side. However, the manager later confirmed that they could not do so because they would only receive their bank statement the following day. In the meantime, I confirmed with my bank that the amount had indeed gone through on my side, and I even received a reference number that Checkers could use to follow up with their Bank. However, they refuse to communicate with their bank for confirmation. Instead, they insist that I pay for the transactions a second time. I do not understand how a large grocery retailer can treat a customer this way when the issue originated on their side. Checkers will have to cancel the transaction so that the funds can be returned to my bank account before I can be forced to pay again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service from Checkers Clubview Sixty60 delivering to Valhalla, Centurion. We use Sixty60 at least three to four times a week, and I also pay the extra R99 per month for the free-delivery subscription. Despite being a regular and paying customer, the service has become unacceptable. There is almost always something missing from the order, and the delivery tracking is unreliable. Yesterday, I ordered almost R500 worth of goods. The money went off my bank account, but no delivery was carried out due to what appears to be a system error on Checkers Sixty60’s side. I made multiple calls to the call centre today, and while the agents were quite helpful, the matter is still far from being resolved. I also contacted my bank, and they have verified that the money has left my account and that the error is not on their side. My bank informed me that if Checkers Sixty60 has not resolved the matter within seven days, the transaction may then be reversed. I am not prepared to wait seven days for money to be returned when the error is on Checkers Sixty60’s side and no delivery was made. This is unacceptable. Regular customers, especially those paying an additional monthly fee for free delivery, should not have to chase missing items, broken tracking, failed deliveries, and unresolved payment issues. The level of service has been disgusting, and Checkers Sixty60 needs to take proper responsibility instead of leaving customers stranded.

Constantly giving *****ulent prices "forgetting" to add discounts on at till when clearly marked discounted on shelves if we had not checked pur till slips we would have not got the price marked tgis has happened multiple times and after tearing and searching for incorrect prices after payment they give us only our refund our time and checking if they charged us correctly is on us??

Was apalled by both the chicken and the response. Phoned to inform the store at Checkers Langenhovenpark that we received a terribly raw rotisserie chicken. First, I was requested to bring the chicken back for a refund(when we were just about to have dinner) and then when I inquired about the possibility that it can be delivered through 60/60, I was told the store is closed. Not used to such service from this retailer. Usually their food is lovely and the staff helpful.

Dear Checkers Liquor Silverton Team, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about a six-pack I purchased from your store today. Upon returning home, I discovered that one of the bottles was cracked, with the contents spilling out and leaving only about a third of the liquid inside. I expect a prompt resolution, whether that be a replacement of the damaged item or a refund. I have attached a photo of the cracked bottle for your reference. I had such a bad experience in the shop with a fellow shopper , This person was drunk and abusive , I called out for security to help he didn't move an inch , none of the staff members intervene , I am a 56 year old partially disabled person , The fellow shopper and her friends were youngsters around 20 years old , Don't we get protection in the shops our is security and staff member just there to cash up and check bags

Checkers Sixty60 motorbikes completely destroy the peace and quiet of so many neighbourhoods. Delivery up to 12 hours a day, EVERY day. Residents are fed up. Municipalities should not allow this.
