The morning after collecting my car from Platinum’s park and go service at ORT, I discovered the paintwork on my left front wheel arch was badly sc****d. I Notified them immediately and was told they had photos of the vehicle and the sc****s were there already. On requesting the photos I received pictures taken two hours after they received the vehicle - showing sc****s. The manager / owner denied his staff had done the damage and informed me they wouldn’t be paying for anything. After a few weeks and on my 2nd request for an answer I was told I could come all the way back to ORT and walk 15 mins to some security office to try and view the airport CCTV footage to prove my claim. My time is worth more than that and I have no intention of wasting another few hours and more time and money driving across JHB to do this. I’ve had the vehicle repaired myself as this was never about the cost of repair (R3k). It’s the principal of the matter that I wanted compensation for and the fact that their staff can damage a vehicle and there are no consequences. I won’t use them again and will warn others of doing so too!
