Used Cookes & Cream catering (spitbraais) for a function. Arrived without a rotisserie so in effect just a braai. Claimed they don't do rotisserie due to loadshedding??? Forgot my onions??? Burnt the skin due to above, didn't even carve the meat properly - simply chunks of meat cut off the spit. Then added braai sauce all over while meat was still raw. Made the meat tough. Spoke to Leander, had the audacity to tell me they had a large function the night before - really is this my problem?? No offer to make amends, only a "jammer" I listen to you for improvement?? I paid a lot of money for a function that was really poor. Side dishes do not make up for a truly poor experience. I won't ever use them again. Asked me why I didn't call him, well when you have nearly 30 people there, would you spoil the rest of the party???
It seems that this enterprise allows you to order books online and then after payment, refuses to send you the books you have paid for. In my instance I paid for the books plus courier overseas and even after promises from the owner, nothing has happened. I have sent mails, WhatsApp's and everything has been ignored. Be vigilant and careful when dealing with this dealer.
<p>Firstly I keep getting a threatening SMS telling me that I will be disconnected from the network as my account is in arrears. This arrears amount suddenly appeared this last week dated 30/06/2016. Interestingly my account is up to date until this amount reflected. I have contacted Vodacom's ********** number on six (6) occassions in the last week to address. No-one there can tell me for which month this amount is - in fact this morning Sifiso told me it is a billing problem that must be removed (the man is a scholar and a gentleman) my thoughts exactly. He tried to put me to Customercare (whatever) - ended up at upgrades. The runaround is crazy. To date no joy. The nice thing is that Vodacom cannot debit my account as I now only pay monthly. The other good news is that my other accounts are not at Vodacom anymore either.</p> <p>So now someone will tell me that a consultant will contact me and then I will need to provide a certified copy of my ID, account and possibly a fingerprint - this after I have a reference number: EC-044Z-2JGOIX to which I have sent all of the documentation.</p> <p>Absolutely poor service and not the first time I'm afraid.</p> <p>LG.</p>
Logged a complaint on the 24th November 2015. Sent in the required documentation much to my irritation. Still no feedback or a tweet from Vodacom. I requested documentation from Vodacom - still not received, probably because they don't have any to send me as I never signed for the fraudulent number now linked to my account. Poor customer service, I'm afraid.
Viewed my account, noticed that they have linked an unknown cellphone number to my account. Phoned Customer care (082111), most unhelpful - Onus is on me to prove that this number is not mine. Sorry, thinking of popping into my local police station and laying a case of fraud against the CEO Vodacom. Why should I need to have to provide a ream of documentation for Vodacom to investigate? They already gave me the fifth degree in terms of security questions which I answered correctly so why should I be inconvenienced? Surely I have alerted them to investigate based on my call. Absolutely pathetic to think they can treat a client who has been with them for more than 20 plus years. There mess, my problem.
Went to the famous Fishoek at Lynnwood Bridge for my son's birthday. What an absolute disgrace. My wife ordered a drink (they didn't have it), she changed the order and then they came to tell us they would make a plan (to late methinks). She ordered sole, they didn't have any. My son discussed this with the Manager who indicated that they would make a plan (not sure what plan and where he would get sole). We order, our food arrives, my wife's food also arrives without sole - this after an hour's wait. The Manager ducks and dives and eventually tells me SORRY - what a liar about the plan. Spoiled the whole evening and we will never go there again. The two platters were poorly presented and looked old and unappetizing - probably my punishment for daring to complain in the first place.
