LexisNexis South Africa

Urgent order, repeated promises, late delivery
LexisNexis South Africa failed to deliver a time-sensitive legal text despite repeated assurances, causing professional prejudice and forcing alternative arrangements. I placed Order #*** with LexisNexis on 20 April 2026 for a legal text urgently required for Labour Court leave-to-appeal research. At the time of ordering, I was advised the book was on back order. I specifically informed LexisNexis that I required delivery no later than 8 May 2026, as the text was needed for urgent legal research linked to strict court deadlines. I was initially assisted by Anelisa Shosha, who advised that she would escalate the matter to editorial and revert with a delivery timeline. Despite numerous follow-up calls, I was repeatedly told she was “busy on another line,” and no return calls were ever made. On multiple occasions, when I requested to speak to a manager to escalate the matter, I was never transferred to one and no manager ever contacted me. I was first advised that delivery would occur by 25 April 2026. When that date passed, I was then informed that only the book cover had apparently been received. I again followed up and on 5 May 2026 was assured that delivery would take place by 7 May 2026, yet no delivery occurred and the service ticket was closed despite the order remaining outstanding. A new ticket was subsequently opened by Keziah Elisha Didlof, who apologised and advised that the order was being couriered urgently. Tracking reflected that the parcel was received by KNP Logistics on 5 May 2026. It was then reflected as out for delivery but was returned to depot on 7 May 2026 at 17:15, with the reason stated as “not enough time.” This was particularly unacceptable given that LexisNexis had already missed multiple promised delivery dates and had been expressly informed that the order was urgent and required for a strict legal deadline. Tracking further reflected that the parcel again went out for delivery on 11 May 2026 at 07:42, yet no delivery took place that day. It was only ultimately reflected as delivered on 12 May 2026 at 09:27, well after the critical period for which it was required. Because of LexisNexis’ repeated broken assurances, poor communication, failure to provide managerial escalation, and failure to properly prioritise the matter despite explicit notice of urgency, I was forced to make alternative arrangements at my own inconvenience and expense in order to meet my professional obligations. This caused avoidable professional prejudice and reputational harm. Professionals purchase legal resources from LexisNexis because reliability and timing are critical. This experience was neither professional nor acceptable. I therefore request: A full refund for Order #***; and A formal explanation as to why multiple delivery commitments were made and repeatedly missed despite repeated assurances that the matter had been escalated and marked urgent. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns regarding LexisNexis South Africa’s order fulfilment, escalation handling, and customer service processes.

Sold client opened product with broken seal; Morningside Pharmacy Tel: ***, Corner Rivonia & Outspan Road, Morningside, Sandton

On or around 16 July 2016, I made a purchase at Morningside Pharmacy, I purchased two products. I indirectly bought an Evox Casein protein but I meant to buy the Evox Mega Grow. I made the purchase around 2 or 3 o' clock. I then went to the BSN store next door and bought creatine. I was buying the Mega Grow for a friend that asked me to buy her protein and I was close by the store. When I got home I noticed the seal of the Casein protein was broke and the thin cardboard film seal had a slight narrow opening. I immediately went back to the store for a exchange or refund and they refused to refund me for the purchase. There wasn't a manager in the store so I left my details for the manager to call me on Monday. On Monday the manager called me and accused me of tampering with the seal. They can weight the product and see that I've never used it, also the narrow opening in the cardboard film seal , in the product was very narrow and could not be enough for someone to take a scoop or serving. I do not use casein as its a protein for night usage and usually used commonly by persons taking steroids. as they need a 24 hour anabolic phase. It was disheartening for an honest customer that brought back a defective product only to be accused by the same store of tampering with the seal. Also there were marks on the side of the container, this is consistent with the product having been dropped and this could have opened the seal, yet I was falsely accused of tampering with the seal. I purchased supplements only two weeks ago from the same store and the seal was intact and the protein was ok, but now this is embarrassing and humiliating to accused a repeat customer of tampering with the product. I returned to the store around 4' o clock, was roughly around an hour after the purchase. I will never shop again at the store and I will tell everyone I know about the racist store manager that accuses non-white or black customers by default of tampering with the product when its obvious that the store's staff may have intentionally tampered with the product. In the absence of proof he accused non-white persons of tampering with the product. It is disguising that a store puts tampered and or spilt products on their shelves, hoping unsuspecting customers buy it and don't notice there is a problem. the stores details are: Morningside Pharmacy Tel: ********** , Corner Rivonia & Outspan Road, Morningside, Sandton, fax: ********** , www morningsidepharmacy.co.za, email: **********

Defective Goods & Bad Service, : Order 100003
Around the 18 June 2015, I made an online purchase for Order ***, Item: EX126 - iPhone in Car Holder. I was charged R 99 for the product and R99 for delivery. The deliver fee which was not advertised at first was extremely high. It costed the same delivery as the price of the actual product and it only received my product on or around the 2 of July. The first time I tried using the product, the springs within the product broke.

I have tried calling the companies telephone number but its forever busy. I have made numerous unsuccessful attempts, the number doesn't even ring, it goes straight to voice mail. I emailed my queries and dissatisfaction on the 3rd of July and received no response.

I then received a mail response on the 15th, (two weeks later) from an anonymous person apologizing for the delay and asking if I've been helped.

I had not been assisted not had anyone from the company addressed my query, the product was defective and I wished to have a full refund but it has been weeks and the customer department doesn't not answer the phone or address their emails.
