Order not yet received, but the online order tracker indicates successful delivery. Upon contacting the call center, operators simply say that it will be delivered before the end of the day, but that the parcel has not yet been dispatched. To be honest, I cannot recall the last time a Superbalist order went smoothly. Save yourself some time and frustration, and just purchase from another retailer.
<p>I ordered a trio of whiskies from Wild About Whisky, hoping there would be enough time for delivery before my husband's birthday. Just after the order was placed, I contacted the store, to confirm that delivery would arrive in time. Unfortunately my order had just missed the last consignment to Johannesburg for that week.</p> <p>Shortly after my query regarding delivery, my call was returned, and it was suggested that a staff member deliver the parcel to me (in Johannesburg) over the weekend while on a personal trip to the city.</p> <p>Over that weekend I met up with Dave, and received the parcel in perfect order. This is certainly nothing short of excellent customer service. I would be happy to recommend this supplier to anyone looking to support a great business with exceptional customer service.</p>
<p>On 13 December 2016, I purchased a Lenovo notebook computer from the Takealot.com website -an item which is still listed on their website, and which is still on sale. Later during the week, I was informed that the item was no longer available. I was given the option of a refund or a credit note. Naturally I opted for a refund, but got credit instead. (almost R 18 000.00 is lot of credit to have at a place that reuses to deliver a product you paid for...)</p> <p>As I am quite desperate for the notebook before everyone closes for the festive season, I immediately started looking at alternatives. I was shocked to find that the item I had bought is still listed and on sale on the Takealot website, and could easily be added to my cart again. I even received a reminder to complete my purchase of the item which is apparently no longer available. (Perhaps I should try buying the same product again, using my Takealot credit?)</p> <p>Contacting their call centre results in nothing but helpless frustration- in fact, the call centre operators cannot even tell you whom you should speak to, but happily suggest you just 'figure out' who the supplier is by yourself, and contact them directly. According to the lady I spoke to, Takealot staff does not have access to the Takealot website or system, and can under no circumstances refer you to even a department, as they do not have that capability in the call centre. The corporate number remains unanswered.</p> <p>As per Takealot advice, I tracked down the supplier: According to the supplier listed on the Takealot website, there are high stock levels of this item available, and ready to ship.</p> <p>At this time, Takealot has the full purchase amount of almost R 18 000.00 on hold, and will not supply the product because of what appears to be a false/ manufactured reason. They have not refunded me, nor have they produced the product the 'sold' to me- A product that they are still selling on their website.</p> <p> After a burglary, I am urgently in need of a replacement notebook computer, and will now be stuck without one until Takealot honours any of their commitments. I am disappointed that this has happened on more than one occasion, and that a company that I have been supporting since 2011 has become so incompetent and unreliable.</p> <p>To refuse delivery of a product- of which there is stock available- and then give a credit for such an amount after I clearly requested refund, simply makes me feel as though I have been robbed again.</p> <p>I just want the notebook I ordered and paid for.</p>
