If you consider to have your child's laser tag birthday party at Battle Zone in Brightwater Commons, I would strongly advise you to seek another venue and spare yourself buckets full of frustration. I have been battling since 6 August to book a party for 15 August. If the phone isn't endlessly ringing with no one answering, I am told their system is out of order and they wait on a company in NZ to fix their software remotely. I even went there in person and was shown that their computer was under construction. I asked them why they don't keep a desk diary to sync the bookings on their system, but was informed that this is the digital era and they don't operate like that. They could also not give me a time frame of when the system will be working, due to the time zone differences between SA and NZ! I told the manager Grant that I am then contacting another laser tag venue for the party, and he told me that I can do whatever I want and go ahead and enjoy it. They really don't need the public's money or a back-up system when their software crashes or during loadshedding... So battle forth guys, best of luck to your business!
We were serviced by Lilian who clearly had no concept of time. We were pretty relaxed but waiting more than 30min for milkshakes and ice tea were pushing it. Upon our order, she told us they were out of rolls required for our pulled pork torta rolls and would serve it on hamburger buns. We waited another 45min for our food. We were 5 people who got served our plates of food in drips and drabs, by the time four plates of food were finished the 5th plate only arrived. The food cold and stale. We asked to speak to the manager Lilian, who had her morning laughs and chats for more than 10min on the phone and clearly not an official call. It took her a good 15min to appear at our table with no explanation why people coming in after us, have long gone been served and left. She could also offer no good explanation why the cupboard doors where hanging from one hinge, creating a very poor image of this restaurant. Blame shifting followed. She took no responsibility for her staff member's poor performance or for the neglected interior of the restaurant. We've been around a couple of M&B Branches but this one is the worst.
