Grundig, premium prices, good products, pathetic support for product failure. Grundig subcontracts repairs to Defy. Defy subcontracts the repairs to independent contractors. Completely disorganised, no feed back, no spares, unkept promises The only cer*****y is that you will be frustrated and have to wait much longer than you expect. And then wait some more. In hindsight it would have served me better to have bought a cheap machine and when it breaks just replace it with another cheap machine. Ans still have change. Such a pity that while the product is good the employees destroy the brand.
Our Duratherm geyser was install professionally. The geyser burst. Santam appointed Franke (an internationally recognised company) to assess the damage. The installation was found to be correct and to specification. The geyser was found to be under warranty. This is Duratherm's response to the claim: Due to the installer not adhering to the SANS regulations, the safety valve is piped out with copper and changes to galvanizeno visible non-return valve on the installation which results to a non-compliant installation therefore this warranty claim will be rejected Warranty void ref no: 12812 They are dishonest and should not be trusted
