Recently moved into a new house and had an issue with the plumbing fittings for the dishwasher and washing machine. A quick Google search revealed that Barlands Plumbing had almost 500 good reviews, over 4.5 rating. I gave them a call and the service was excellent. The team was on site the next day in the morning and within an hour, had everything sorted out. The most impressive part was that they waited for me to confirm that they were no leaks and that I was fully satisfied with the service before sending me the invoice - it was sent about 3 days after the work was done to ensure everything was in order.
I had 4 boxes couriered from JHB to CPT containing clothes and other personal items. The boxes I used were purchased from The Courier Guy offices and were double wall Pudo brand boxes. The boxes arrived in CPT damaged, broken and two were open with one of them having some of the contents fallen out. Looking at the state of the boxes, it would be clear to anyone that they were rough handled and mistreated for the boxes to break in that manner. I have sent pictures to the support channel and have not heard back since. After this experience, I would not recommend The Courier Guy.
Maureen Neswiswi was absolutely amazing with assisting on my log COOL-20240922-1953947. My speed wasn’t where it should be and this persisted above a period a time and after submitting my first log, Maureen got on the phone and immediately took accountability. Tested the line with me. Contacted the FNO for a test. Checked router settings. Ran a test that bypassed the router with clear instructions. Send me the firmware update with clear instructions for the router firmware update. The last one resolved the issue. Great service and support. While all this is probably part of the troubleshooting steps the guys are trained on, its the manner in which she assisted, the empathy she showed and the genuine interest in trying to figure out the problem that made my day.
Signed up for a new line and received excellent service overall from everyone at Cool Ideas. They always follow up with a call and their callback time is less than 10 minutes from the time the log is created so really happy with the turn around time. Assistance was great from all involved, no hassles or challenges at all. I’m impressed that I could keep track of everyone that assisted even though I didn’t have to engage with everyone as each time my ticket is updated, I can see who’s doing what and that’s good service. Their digital process should be the benchmark. I updated my account via the app and everything just worked, account switch was seamless, delivery of card via DSV was seamless, change of details on the app and Apple Pay was seamless.

Have been using SADV as both an ISP and just for the fibre line since 2015 and as with any company, customer experience will vary. In my experience, I have always had good service - both for customer billing support and technical support. In a nutshell, when choosing my current residence, I told my realtor that the property must have an SADV fibre installed. Would recommend Christopher in Tech Support and Julian in Sales.
