Most disgusting medical aid. My son who is a student had taken out this medical aid premium to go off my wife's account. She had to send bank statements letter etc to prove its her account then I get an email from a dummy from sizwe asking for a canceled cheque for a savings account. How stupid can these people can be. Please if you considering taking out a medical aid DO NOT GO FOR SIZWE. my wife spoke to a lady by the name of ivy she wants an apology from us. Thandeka Zungu never responds to emails and when she calls she makes us feel like she doing us a favor
Hi firstly I am using the profile of a friend as I am not registered on the site. My name is Mrs A. GOVENDER. My husband Ivan Govender purchased a phone from your cornubia store in Mount Edgecombe Durban. However the phone was damaged we sent in for repairs. He has an insurance with finite thru Edcon. Firstly we were given all wrong information about payment etc as the insurance company finite told us Edgars are useless. However it was sent for repairs and returned to but it still did not work. I took it back. We have to send back for repairs. We mentioned to the guy how come the information we get at store level differs from that as to what the insurance say immediately he started getting agitated. I told him I am only asking. It so happened the manager his name is Vijay was sitting there having a chat. He looked as though he was going to **** me for asking the question. I told him they must follow us as it takes a long time to get thru to finrite both he and Chris said we must do it our selves. This is a new store and this kind of attitude. I told him you guys don't know what you are doing here and when a customer is telling you this is what has been Said by the Insurance company all they have to do is follow up with the insurance not argue with the customer. I have recorded the attitude of Chris however I only started recording after most of the incident finished you can see how he mocks us in the video. The manager ran off once her released I was recording will place on social media so people can view what Edgars staff is all about. Disgusted to say the least. The manager should find more work to do in the store seems like he likes to sit and gossip rather than work. Ie if he is the manager but he does not have the ethics of been a manager its a shame that Edgars employ people without training them. Customer service should be key in retail stores employ staff and train them not dummies like we had to deal with
I want to thank assessor Nompumelelo Letima for such compassion she showed my wife. We have never experienced this by the previous assessor. She was proactive kept in touch telephonixally although my wife could barely speak to her. My wife is now terminally ill and all treatment has been stopped. She is currently in a hospice. We would like to Nompumelelo Letima to handle my wife's claim as she certainly knows how to handle gravely ill people. Well done dear blessings from my wife always.

We were pushed from pillar to post for months. We then took her to a private oncologist who referred us to Albert luthuli hospital in Durban. When we got to Albert luthuli hospital the cancers doctors have all left and or protesting and she was given different dates each time and sent home. In the Mean time people were dying without treatment. When she finally got to see a Dr she was told her cancer had spread aggressively and scans were done which they said was for treatment plans only. They refused to give us copies. We went almost everyday asking different clerk nurses Dr's etc eventually one clerk said she will give us a copy but no reports available as they have a back log of patients running into thousands. We can take to a private radiologist to word the scans. We were reluctant but contacted Dr k govender who informed us we can try that as anitha is getting very ill and time is turning out. We did that. However the radiologist initially refused but we begged and pleaded she said she will word what she sees on the scans and will hold no responsibility thereafter. She will get the clerk to contact us. We waited weeks. Finally went back it was not done we begged and pleased again and it was sent the next day. We don't know what they type or who typed just to get us if their backs now we are accused of tampering. We have sumbiited claims before all above board and never had a problem why would we want to put a dying woman for so little money through this trauma. We are prepared to get a fresh report and scan by a private oncologist otherwise they need to use the same report. It will take a long time to get anitha to a Dr etc as she is very ill having lost her vision I her right eye last week due to cancer. She is currently been cared for at a cancer care home in umbilo Durban ********** 525. We don't appreciate being accused of tampering without asking us for more reports from a third party Dr etc. Which is her right to prove that she had stage 4 cancer. How can someone make up stage 4 cancer when we also submitted letters from the government hospitals to stage this. Her irn level is 1 her blood is dangerously clotting. And hollard has the odacity to accuse us of tampering when we where put through hell and back trying to even get a scan out of them please treat this as a matter of urgency"
Hollard Life should no that another company paid my wife out on the same report they didn't see it as tampered with. On the basis of that I will be taking them to court

My wife just spoke to pamela shozi. We asked about the turn around time for the claim was informed there is no turn around time. It can take a year and.over for a claim to be processed. Sies. Shame on you 1life. I said the broker did not inform us about this she says the brokers doesn't have to inform us. So are we supposed to suck this of our thumbs. Shame on you. Do not deal with this insurance company fmi. My son has a policy with them it's going into the fourth month now and they giving us attitude. Refusing to come to the party after taking my child's premiums. Don't deal with them you will regret putting your money with.This good for nothing company
My wife has a policy with 1life. They took her money now that she has cancer they finding every excuse in the book not to pay. All documents as requested was submitted. This person Freddie handling the matter does not even bother to update us and now he is on leave and nobody can tell us anything and they say he doesn't update anything on system. It's the third month now. I am in contact with the ombudsmen and they say normally it should not take more that 30 days. I have reported to ombudsmen and my attorney now i am going to sue their asses off. They steal from us but the service they provided I will not advise anyone to take a policy with them because the claims Handlers and attitude is disguising I think they treat clients according to the race of the person.
