I am appalled by the lack of help I have had trying to activate my 93 year old mother’s Dstv decoder. It is impossible to speak to anyone. I keep on getting told I’ll be contacted by an agent in 1-2 days but nothing happens. I want her to be able to watch the Olympic Games but it will probably be over by the time I get any help. The WhatsApp and bot help options are completely useless as well. With so much competition around DStv should really get their act together if they want to keep their clients.
I have been trying to have my 92 year old mother’s decoder activated so that she can at least watch the Olympic Games. She is in a nursing home where there is a dish and she has a smart tv and a decoder installed in her room. It is impossible to get a response at anyone at DStv to activate her account and package. I have tried and always end up with the same message that an agent will call me in 1-2 days but they don’t. The bit on the website and the WhatsApp communication is completely useless and just sends your around in circles. I find this lack of service very shocking given that DStv is in trouble with so much competition with all the streaming services these days. Unfortunately there is no WiFi at the nursery home so she has to have DStv. I am desperate to sort this out as soon as possible.
