To whom it may concern. I ordered a package from Takealot online on Tuesday 5/01/2016 at 2h39. Estimated delivery date was Friday 8/01/2016, but received the package on Thursday 7/01/2016. One of the items, e.g. trailer cover had a defect and the material ripped. The item was logged to be returned on Friday 8/01/2016 at 15h39. The address given with the online return request was my home address RRN-5b12-35e5. When the delivery company phoned to schedule the pick up for Monday 11/01/2016 before 14h00. Due to this I changed my pick up address to my work address over the phone with the delivery company MrD Courier e.g. this is one of my alternative addresses on my Takealot profile! They did not change this and drove to my home address (security gate phoned at 11h54). I had to phone Takelaot to request for another pick up. Delivery was re-schedules to work address for Wednesday 13/01/2016 before 17h30 by MrD Courier. They again did not change delivery address and my home security gate phoned at 15h48. I phoned again and it was just mentioned that they will have to re-schedule. This is going around in circles. I asked to speak with one of the managers, but this was not possible!
This contractor from day one was a disaster. Started building late with excuses, started building with the wrong bricks, had to be on site every day to check up (bad supervision), don't clean cavities (needs to be cleaned to avoid dampness and mould), fitted garage door incorrectly (higher door), fitted flashing incorrectly to all flat roofs, sub-contractors attitude and workmanship shocking. Moved into a house that was inspected by the contractor, but found the following mistakes 90% off water pipes connected wrongly (hot on cold), plugs not working, oven not working, shower drains blocked (building rubble), sprinkler system not working, plugs not working, stove connected illegally, bath cracked, granite counter chipped, etc. Cupboard contractor had to redo kitchen cupboards, lived 2 months with half kitchen and oven not working (replaced oven with new). Irrigation contractor, Kimko, useless and rude. Up to date still have problems with irrigation. House started cracking recently, but says is settling cracks and forms part of maintenance. NHBRC will investigate further. Good luck fixing 5mm cracks with paint! In general disaster from the start and supervision a big problem.
