I am extremely disappointed with my experience with AA Warranties. My policy premiums have been increased over time, yet when it comes to submitting a claim, every issue is conveniently labelled as “wear and tear” and rejected. Most recently, my vehicle was inspected at the dealership and it was confirmed that both lower ball joints need to be replaced. I submitted a claim, only for it to be rejected on the basis that it is “wear and tear”. This is extremely frustrating because these components are listed as covered items in my policy. This is not the first time this has happened. I previously had a claim relating to the transfer case, which required repairs, and that was also rejected using the exact same explanation. It raises serious concerns about the value of this warranty. If every mechanical component failure is simply classified as wear and tear, even when those components are listed as covered, then what exactly is the purpose of paying for the warranty? What makes this situation even more frustrating is that AA Warranties has increased the premiums I have been paying, yet when it comes time for them to honour the policy, the claims are declined. Customers take out these warranties in good faith, expecting that the policy wording will be honoured. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. It feels like customers are paying monthly premiums for cover that becomes meaningless when a claim is actually submitted. I would strongly encourage AA Warranties to review their claims assessment process and honour the policy coverage they advertise to customers.
Extremely Disappointed with AA Warranties – Claim Unfairly Rejected! I've been a loyal AA Warranties customer for years, covering multiple vehicles, and always had trust in their service—until now. My recent claim for the repair of my Kia Sportage's transfer case was rejected, citing "wear and tear" despite clear evidence that it was a mechanical failure as per the specialist's report. 1️⃣ My car has always been serviced on time at Kia, with stamped service records sent to AA Warranties. 2️⃣ The failed part is sealed in a unit, meaning regular servicing wouldn’t prevent this issue. 3️⃣ The repair cost is close to R47,000, and I understand my policy covers up to R30,000—I was fully prepared to pay the difference, but instead, my entire claim was denied! 4️⃣ I’ve been without my car for 12 days already, and now with the dispute process, I have no idea how much longer I’ll be stuck without it. 5️⃣ This is costing me even more money to travel without my car, on top of the R500+ a month I’ve been paying for this policy. Now, I’m forced into a dispute for something that should clearly be covered. I’ve referred many people to AA Warranties over the years, but now I’m ashamed to do so. Its been 1 month with going back and forth with telkom after my adsl line was inactive and no word and the cause of fault until I called in a week later to find out what was happening. I was told that the lines have been stolen and Telkom wasnt going to replace them. I was then offered an LTE alternative for R599 per month uncapped which I gladly accepted and collected from the courier company in the 13.09.2019. It is not the 08.10.2019 and all the services have been activated except the Sim Card which makes it pointless. Everyday that I call the 10210 or the 10213 number I speak to another person and have to explain the whole situation again which has become so frustrating. the only thing they tell me is that they are sending an email to the activation department from which absolutely nothing happens. I am writing the review on the 8.10.2019 and to date I still dont have an active sim card. After being advised that I need to do a sim swop from the technical department and wait 24 hours again nothing happened. When I contacted the 10210 I was then told that I shouldnt have dont the sim swop after they had told me to the day before.
