I contacted this company for a quote for laminate flooring. The owner, Oscar, arranged an appointment with me for 5:30pm yesterday. Oscar never showed up, neither did he call to apologise, etc. Today, I received a call from Oscar, saying he's so busy etc and can he rather come over the weekend. I indicated that since he neither pitched for the appointment, nor had the decency to call and reschedule before the appointment, I am no longer interested in his services as if he was this unreliable with coming out to provide a quote then he would possibly be just as unreliable when it comes to performing the work. Oscar got really angry with me and screamed at me, had a terrible attitude, saying that I'm actually losing out and that's fine then and he's not losing out on anything from me. His attitude, especially for a company owner, was disgusting. I am so relieved that I wasn't fooled into doing business with someone who obviously doesn't value their business and doesn't know how to treat potential customers with respect. To me, a person's attitude is a good indication of how their work would be performed. Please let this review save you from making the same mistake that I nearly made.
I have no words left for Telkom's disappointing service. I put in an application to move my phone line to another location mid-January. A week later my telephone line was cut and I was unable to make any calls. Telkom was supposed to move my line on 13 February. I received a call indicating that cable theft occurred somewhere in JHB and therefore a technician would not be available to move my line - I had already put in leave for Friday that could not be cancelled. I had no choice but to agree to this change of date and waste a day's leave but I insisted that my line be installed in my new premises on Monday, 16 Feb, afternoon. I called Telkom yesterday, where I was assured that the line would be installed and that the order has been issued for 16 Feb. I did not receive a call from a technician nor did anyone arrive at my house. Today I've spent 3hrs on the phone trying to get hold of Telkom agents to assist me with this problem. The result is that the order was issued BUT NOT ASSIGNED TO A TECHNICIAN. There is no-one for me to escalate this to and I'm told to wait for a technician to contact me. Telkom also charged me my full rental fee for January when the line was cut!!!
