When I got a new laptop from work I had to get insurance on my name therefor I went with naked insurance that was recommended by a college. The service was very quick and helpful. On the 16th of September I was remote jacked at Tygervalley Centre. I reported the theft immediately and went to the SAPS to get a case number. I did all I could to get footage from Tygervalley centre regarding the incident, but they refused to give me the footage as it is against there policy. Not even the police could assist. So naked insurance declined my claim as I could not provide the footage. What must I do if no one wants to assist. My back was locked in my boot in a closed parking lot. Why insurance if they don't pay for this. Id did everything I could just to get a answer like that....
On the 16th of September at about 15h00 I parked my vehicle in front of entrance 11. When I got out of my car the security guard was standing there and when I got back at the car after a hour and a half. When I was still searching for my keys my daughter said that the car is open, but with packages still in the car we got in and left. When I got hom I realised that my laptop was not in the car and only then we noticed that we got remoted jacked. I lodge a claim with Naked Insurance for the laptop although there was much more in my bag. They requested me to send them footage of the incident. My husband went to the centre and spoke to a Quinton to get footage. When I followed up he was very rude and said that he had more important issues to attend to. I then phoned the manager of the centre and they got him to call me back. he said that it is against there policy to give me footage but he will see what he can do. Today it is almost a month later and still no answer. My insurance declined my claim because I could not provide them with the footage and now I have to replace the laptop and other valuables because the centre does not want to assist. I am very dissapointed in them and heard about a few other people that is also unhappy. How can we go there again and trust that we will be save?
I bought a Lenovo laptop for my matric daughter from Makro in June last year for assignments. According to the sales person that was the best buy for our needs and budget. We hardly used the laptop as it is very very slow so we bought het a new one this year. I decided to use the laptop for home emails, but it just went blank. I booked it in at Makro and after a month I got a message saying I can pick it up again. Nobody phoned me to inform me what the problem with the computer was. When I arrived at Makro they gave me the computer with a slip to sign but nowhere was a report that indicate what work was done on the computer. After I complained they phone Lenovo and came back with a small piece of paper written on motherboard. I tried to log into the computer, but it said I need to change the pin and there was no internet available at shop so I had to test it at home. I told them that I stay 86km away and cannot drive up and down if something is not right. So today I started the computer. It prompt me again to change pin I logged into the computer with my email address and then the screen turned black again and then it is stuck again. So now I need to go all the way back and wait another month? so not happy with the service I got. Not even a proof of extended warranty nothing. I would think they need to replace the computer now I must struggle and waist petrol driving up and down for a poor computer they made me buy
