I would like to warn people in the Weltenvreden Park, Strubens valley, Roodepoort area about the Agency Fabulous Homes. I have met CJ, one of the agents through a friend. CJ was very helpful and managed to help me to rent my house in Strubens Valley. When we spoke about the contract, I asked CJ what percentage of the rent do they take and I also asked about the deposit. He told me that they take 8% to manage the property and they take one months deposit. I then assumed that their contracts were the same as all the other agencies and only "read" quickly through the contract when I signed it. BIG mistake!!! For the first 6 months the agency took 8% for the management fee, which we agreed to but later they started taking more. When the tenants renewed the contract I received a letter saying that they are going to take another month's rent because the tenant renewed the contract. I contacted CJ and told him that this was not right and that this was the first time that an agency wants to take a deposit every time when the tenants renew their contract. CJ said that I must contact Renier, the Principal, to explain my grievances but I must remember that it is a business. He also became very impatient with me when I started talking about this issue. I did contact the principal, Renier to voice my objection. At first he was willing to give me a discount on the deposit which they were planning to take. I, however, told them that it is not right for them to take another deposit because they already took the deposit when the tenants moved in. I also mentioned to Renier about the increase on the management fee. He then said yes, the increase is correct because they take 8% on the monthly fee plus the utilities the tenants use that month. I told him again that this was a first but he just said that that is how they do it. I spoke to different agencies and also to a lawyer about this and they ALL said that this is the first time that they have heard of this and that it isn't correct to take a deposit every time tenants renew their contract. At the end, the tenants renewed the contract, they paid the money into the agency's account. The agency took the money, e-mailed me, saying that they have paid my levies and I owe them R4233.52. When I went to review the contract again, I realised that it was in the contract. I am writing this review because I want to warn people against Fabulous Home Agency and I want you to read the finer detail in your contract. When I did my calculations I realised that I paid more than 16.4 % for Fabulous Homes to manage my property. At the moment they refuse to take any of my calls and they are also not replying to any of my e-mails. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
Hi there, I have contacted Monique at Mobile Garage doors in October. She was very quick to send me a quote. I was quite impressed. Unfortunately everything stopped there. I paid my deposit of R2100 and then I did not hear from her for a few days. I then contacted her again and she then said that they were unable to find the parts for the garage door I might have to put new doors in. She also said that she would contact me after a few days to let me know if they have found the parts. I have contacted her a few times now, the strange thing is that she does not talk to her clients she only uses WhatsApp to communicate. She said that they will pay my deposit and I still have not received anything My recommendation is be very careful when you do business with these people. I hope other people had a better experience than I had with them because on the web the reviews were good. At the moment they have taken my money (stole my money) and refuses to pay me back.
I have written a review about Tracker at the end of January regarding my struggle to change a debit order and to cancel tracker guard after my husband passed away. I spoke to various agents before my problem, I thought was resolved. We have a contract that was paid three years in advance. During one of my conversations with an agents she said that they would be willing to change my contract to a monthly premium where I now have to start paying R99 per month .... this after our contract has been paid 3 years in advance. So now I have to pay an extra R99 for the next 18 months. I asked her if she understands what she was asking me to do? She said that this was an instruction received from her supervisor. I told her that it is absolutely ridiculous that they would think someone would agree to such an 'offer'. Well, today I received my monthly statement, which I have NOT agreed to, of R148 not even R99, which I have to pay now. I phoned them and held on for 18 minutes, my data, my cost and my issue has not been solved. I had to put the phone down because I had another appointment scheduled. I really don't know how this company is doing business because it seems as if their agents phone people but don't record or update the information given to them. How long does it take to change a debit order? I am not sure. This has been really frustrating to deal with such an incompetent company. If someone has an e-mail or phone number of the CEO please post it somewhere so that I can contact him directly, maybe that would then help to solve my problem
I have been trying to change a debit order from my late husband's name to mine. What a nightmare! I have spoken to 9 agents now. I can name most of them. My tracker which have been paid 3 years in advance have been cancelled. Then it was activated again and now cancelled again without my permission. I have also asked someone from tracker guard to contact me and after more than a month no one has contacted me yet. The other thing they do is they would call you, the phone would ring twice and then they would put the phone down. You then receive a sms saying that they are trying to contact you. When I return the call, basically immediately no one would answer the phone. I was on the phone with one agent for 56minutes 24 seconds thinking I have managed to change all my details as requested just to hear the next time that things have not been changed. I am confused because I have received a note to say that my tracker has been activated again but how do I know for sure. I am still waiting for tracker guard to contact me. I would NOT recommend these people's services at all. I have asked if I could have the CEO's telephone number because that might be the only solution.
