I am writing to report the persistent failure of numerous LPG retailers in Claremont, Cape Town, to adhere to the maximum retail price per kilogram as gazetted monthly by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) in terms of the Petroleum Products Act, 1977. Despite the clear legal obligation, most outlets in this area continue to charge well above the regulated price, in apparent disregard of the law. I understand that the Western Cape Regional Office of the DMRE is responsible for inspection and enforcement in this province. I would be grateful if you could: • Confirm receipt of this complaint • Investigate the retailers in the Claremont area • Advise what steps will be taken to ensure compliance Your urgent attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as the current situation places an unfair financial burden on consumers. Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards Clive Corder clive@seecor.co.za
I'm really frustrated with the service. My RA matured six weeks ago, and despite submitting all the paperwork, I still haven't seen any progress. I was at Fancourt this weekend and noticed a big group of Momentum staff playing golf. It seems they could benefit from focusing more on their customers instead of being on the course!
