I am writing to report the persistent failure of numerous LPG retailers in Claremont, Cape Town, to adhere to the maximum retail price per kilogram as gazetted monthly by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) in terms of the Petroleum Products Act, 1977. Despite the clear legal obligation, most outlets in this area continue to charge well above the regulated price, in apparent disregard of the law. I understand that the Western Cape Regional Office of the DMRE is responsible for inspection and enforcement in this province. I would be grateful if you could: • Confirm receipt of this complaint • Investigate the retailers in the Claremont area • Advise what steps will be taken to ensure compliance Your urgent attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as the current situation places an unfair financial burden on consumers. Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards Clive Corder clive@seecor.co.za

I had a buzz are nightmare today only to get home after work to find Electricity off and I got information that 2 people from Ekurhuleni were seen opening the main meter box outside my house, I called energy department and logged calls only to be informed that they will look at the issue tomorrow.I then called the Glen marais Cllr Ald who called Ekurhuleni and showed them proof that I did not owe any amount and was in prepaid electricity , later the came to reconnect but shouted at me and they said they didn't know who had disconnected the main box. A total of 910 hours with no electricity

Oil prices. When the crude oil prices went up to $140 per barrel, the prices of Petrol, Diesel and Parrafin as well as the different produced oils went up. Now when the crudeoil prices stabilized again, only the Petrol, diesel and parrafin prices came down. But the different oils sold to the public still goes up and does nod come down. It means that somebody is making big money and is unfair to the public. It is pricefixing!!!

Hello Peter, please assist. We are currently 21days without electricity. Our electricity has been cut because of accusations that we have bridged our meter. We have submitted all the proof of our electricity purchase, we have been sending emails but to date there has been no communication from their side.i am based at 32b Snyman Drive Wright Park Springs. Owner of the house Mmamokano Elizabeth Mamaila. We went to the offices they never attended to the matter instead indirectly they asked for a bribe by saying we know what we must do to get the electricity back. Emails were sent still no response. I still reiterate that it's been weeks without electricity and we don't know what will happen to our appliances when it comes back. The food we've bought is spoiled and we had to throw it away. This is a matter of urgency kindly help. My contacts a 083 365 6742
