Just sharing my experience with Pineapple Insurance after submitting a cellphone claim. I want to start by saying that Sibongile Jeanine Tabane was fantastic, professional, responsive and genuinely helpful throughout the process. She did her best to assist and kept communication clear, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my overall experience with Pineapple itself was very disappointing when I needed support the most. I submitted my claim on 15 December, but it was only approved on 9 January after extensive back-and-forth communication and the claim nearly being rejected. The process felt unnecessarily stressful and drawn out, especially during a period where quick assistance was important. Insurance is meant to provide peace of mind in difficult moments, and instead the experience became frustrating and uncertain. While the eventual approval is appreciated, the journey to get there fell far short of expectations. Based on this experience, I have decided to move my insurance needs elsewhere. I hope Pineapple improves its claims handling timelines and communication so that customers don’t have to fight this hard during an already stressful situation.

Bongi from the restaurant is AMAZING! Not only did she do an incredible job serving my friends and I, but she went on to do an even better job serving all the guests at my friends baby shower on the 27th of Feb.
