Terrible service & poor covid protocols. We saw empty tables by the play area yet the host Ayanda walked in ‘to check’ & said there were none. We took a table inside, only to take our kid to the play area and see the tables we mentioned were available and Unreserved. Hosts were rude and had bad attitudes - and they lied! Food took extremely long to arrive, saw three tables arrive after us and receive food before us - when I asked waiters, each said they’re on it; when I asked the manager he replied “I was wondering why you were here so long without any food and why you were looking around”. Say what? Tables are way too close together and the place was packed, everyone walks around without masks.
I subscribed to Divestyle magazine in December 2014 and made the subscription payment of R150, to initiate the subscription for 12 months in 2015. I have yet to receive a magazine by post, and it's almost the end of May.
I contacted the magazine team numerous times via telephone, email, facebook and a direct query through their website - I have yet to receive one reply from anyone in the team!
I requested a refund of the full amount (R150) today, to which the editor (Chris) replied that it was a small amount of money and I shouldn't care so much about it.
I was further astounded when the editor put the phone down on me mid-conversation.
I have yet to receive a response from the editor and I do not know if my money will ever be refunded.
The editor of Divestyle magazine has despicable customer service and poor professionalism. Unfortunately I have to advise you to stay away from this magazine and from the editor for your own sanity!
