Worst experience EVER! Swift cell city at the Hypermarket in Brackenfell is the wort Ever! Paid R900 to have my screen replaced, went to pick it up the following day to see that the screen was installed incorrectly hanging over the top edge and a gap at the bottom. Returning the phone the next day to get it installed correctly. When I picked it up after their second Attempt to install my screen correctly after collection. I found that the screen had a flickering "bright and dimming" . Damaged by the technician when he tried to remove and reposition the screen correctly. All this over a period of 3 days. When I took it back to them on the 3rd day they advised that the flickering was caused by me dropping the phone. Thay charged me another R450 to fix the damage they caused by not installing the screen CORRECTLY in the first place. Absolutely dishonest and not taking accountability for their mess. Will NOT recommend them to anyone EVER! Watch out.
I cancelled my contract with Telkom on the 31st of March 2019. Someone contacted me w.r.t the next steps. I paid my premium of R455 at the end of April and I was advised that I need to pay a termination penalty of R554.84 for the device that I received, which I totally agree with as I am terminating the contract before the end of the term. What I DON'T agree with is that I have to pay a further Termination Admin fee of R807.02 . When I initially signed up for the contract I was advised about the penalty fee that will cover the remainder of the device received, which I agreed with, however I was NEVER advised of the Termination Admin fee of R807.02. I feel that I am being treated unfairly i.t.o the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT as I was lead into a contract without full disclosure of penalties and it is also not stated in the signed contract.
