On the 3rd of July 2023 I contacted The Tracing Group and explained my problem. On the same day I received an email with their application form attached. It was in MS Word format and not a PDF as should be expected, but I filled it in anyway. I also received what looked like an Invoice that they also called "Application Form". In this form the "deposit" of R2,500 was mentioned. I made a mistake in the application an they notified me. On the 4th I sent it back corrected. On the same day they rep****. It said they would continue with the "requested instruction". Not a word about the deposit that had to be paid. On the 14th of July I received an email from that started with "Please see attached invoice for your urgent attention." It then went on with "We have traced the person in question. As soon as we receive payment we can release your final report." I made an immediate payment. It was a Friday. Later in the day I phoned them and spoke to Alex. He said I will receive the report soon. On the next Monday I phoned him again and he said he was at court and would sort it out soon. The next day I phoned him again and he said the report was sent on the previous Saturday. I told I have not received it and asked if he could send it again. He refused and said if I continue bothering him he will go to his "advocate". I tried to phone him again a few times, but he ignored the call. So be very careful who you deal with on the web and don't make the mistake I made.

I applied to have someone traced and after about a week they phoned and said the report is ready. I had to pay the R2,500 rand otherwise they will go to their advocate. I have not received anything although I paid the money and they would not answer my calls.

Hi,

My previous contract with Telkom expired at the end of December 2014. With that contract there was a special that gave 5Gb of data for free every month. Early in January I took out a new contract with them and did not ask for any extra data per month. To me it was obvious the extra 5Gb per month on the previous contract expired with that contact.

At the end of January Telkom charged me R630.45 for \1 x Add On Internet bundle\" that I did not request. I immediately phoned their call centre and the person said they made a mistake and I will be credited for that data. At the end of January they again charged me for 5Gb data and credited me for February but not January. I do not have the accounts (although I told the help desk person I don't get it by mail or email) but the same happened at the en of February and March. Every time I phone and the ensure me it is fixed and I am actually in credit and should have to pay anything. I said I don't believe her and I was right, not only have I have to pay , but I am still paying for data I did not request and asked them in January to stop.

I expect this to be resolved asap with cash in the bank or a statement saying how much I am credit"
Hi,

My 18 year old son downloaded a ringtone tune from MTN's Callertunez and as far as he could see it was free and that is the end of it. Now he received notification he has to pay R50 per month for this service. I think it is totally misleading and the callcenter is not to helpfull on getting it stopped. I need it stopped immediately and not to be charged anything for the service so far.

The costs should be CLEARLY stated on the web pages involved!!!

Regards,

Wouter Stassen
Mr Ntsadu (078 125 8032) works with Pharai (073 814 4779) advertising non-existing cars on Gumtree and OLX and promise delivery. \on his way"he will phone you for one reason after another why you have to pay money into his account. You obviously never see the car."""
Pharai (073 814 4779) advertised a Polo on Gumtree. He said he was in East London And I am in Despatch. They advertised they deliver countrywide within 24 hours so I asked it to be delivered. I had to pay a deposit with a reference number for the vehicle.

The next day he let me know he gave me the wrong reference number so I had to pay another deposit to a new reference number.

The next day his driver (NZC Ntsadu 078 125 8032) called and he was stopped by police and was fined R11,000. Pharai could only pay R5,500 so I had to pay the driver.

The next day Pharai refused for the vehicle to be delivered unless I pay the full price. The car was 10 km from my house. He would not even let me go and see it if it exist. That evening the driver said he is tired of waiting. If I pay him R2,500 he would bring the car. I paid and he never came.

Pharai tried for awhole day to convince me to pay all the money and eventially he told the driver to return to East London. I never signed any sale agreement. I told Pharai I am entitled to a 7 day cooling off period and I want my money back. He said he will let me know but I will not hear from him again.
