Salesman told me various times the disk is valid till October so I do not need to renew before then as they are registering car on my name and sorting everything. To my surprise, when I went to renew my disk, I had to put car through test again and pay penalty fees from January to October. Contacted the offices and was referred to lady handling the registrations. According to them I was given wrong information, but that salesperson is no longer employed with them, but they will sort it. After sending my proof of payments etc, no feedback or returning my calls. It cost me R3000 extra on purchase price and another R1200 for test and penalties and no one is taking responsibility for false information given to me. I was even stopped at a roadblock during April and phoned Ford from there to speak to the traffic officer to explain that all was done and I am the legal owner and only have to renew disk in October 2022. Yet, now no one at Hatfield Ford is doing anything to refund me for additional costs that I was assured won't happen.
