Don't bother with the standard bank building insurance get it from somewhere else. During the heavy rains we had during the begining of the year I have a flat on my property which was flooding badly. In order to ensure that nothing got damaged or the building itself got damaged, I and my gardener dug a trench 2m deep along the wall of the building where the existing waterproofing was. I really thought this would be covered under section 3.5 of the agreement I signed 3.5 Safeguards or emergency repairs Following any loss or damage We cover, You may make emergency repairs of up to R2 000 (without getting Our permission first) to limit further damage. Despite this extension, You must still always take steps to protect your buildings (refer to General Condition 5). We may cover You for emergency repairs of more than R2 000, but only if We have given permission for this. But unfortunately not, after sending out some builders who didn't arrive that day. When the did arrive the following day they told me they needed and Engineer to assess the damage. The Engineer took a week to get to my house and over a month to write a report to Standard bank, The inspection revealed that the claim is respect of a construction of the new drainage system to divert rainwater away from the building structure/house walls. At the time of site inspection, the existing drainage system had been removed and we cannot confirm if same was correctly constructed or even adequate to divert the water away from the flatlet. The exterior walls were coated with a waterproofing material and the same has worn out. The construction of the new drainage system is an improvement, and such costs are of the Insured’s account. So they won't cover my claim, I've tried the Claim Correspondence who hasn't even spoken to me, and have promised to return my call on multiple occasions without ever doing so. I have the drawing plans showing the drainage system for that area, but obviously it wasn't working, I've sent through video's and pictures of the water flowing like waterfalls out the walls. Try anywhere else they are useless.

I've bought a canvas done tent from them a few years ago. One of the stainless steel poles connectors have broken and I've been unable to get help from them. For the last year I've emailed them photos and part numbers but they don't come back to me. Terrible after sales service
I'm waiting for an order since December 20, and currently it's April 21. Their expected delivery date keeps changing, and I am getting no feedback on the website. Only getting feedback via their email after I have submitted a support ticket.
A package has been at customs since Jan 19, I can't get hold of anyone at customs and no one is replying to me emails. Completely unacceptable.
Sold my wife a set of cheap knockoff tire. One failed on a highway (1000 km later) and now they won't claim responsibility for the blowout, nor refund me for the perfectly good other tyre which I don't trust.

They sent it off to manufacturer and they claimed impact damage (there was no impact damage!). There is a 5cm rip on the INSIDE wall of the tyre.

I've had no responses from them, I've constantly had to be the one who phones and follow up. I will not recommend anyone using them.
