If I could review zero stars I would. Purchased a Lego set on takealot 18 Mar. After 10 days of waiting, order was summarily cancelled by takelot, due to no stock. I then ordered a different Lego set, paid on 25th Mar. And waited. Eventually shipped 8 days later on 2nd April, delivery expected 6th April. No delivery on the 6th. Logged a call on 6th querying the delivery. Takelot (Clayton) responded on the AM of the 7th, stating he'd follow up. 4 hours later I phoned their helpline. So, I don't think I'll be buying from takealot for a while.....

Had occasion to have a towbar fitted to my vehicle by Towrite in Durban and the result was a great towbar. Further, the service was superb. When they informed me that the vehicle would be needed for the best part of the day, they took me to the Gateway shopping centre then collected me again some hours later. Although I didn't know it, I was dealing with the owner of the company who is thoroughly engaging and humble. I cannot recommend Towrite highly enough for both service and product.

I requested a copy of my IRP5 from infoslips for 2013 via their webpage. Duwaine responded that he had sent it to my work address which has since blocked receipt of the attachment. I then asked Duwane to please send it to my personal email; three times, with no response.

I need the info to complete my 2013 tax return, and now I'm having to wait on this company/individual with absolutely zero feedback.
First Incident: My wife's Mitsubishi required a new alternator for which I was quoted a ridiculous amount of R16 000. They required payment upfront and then 5-6 weeks delivery as they stated it had to be imported from Japan. I declined to pay that exorbitant amount and a morning of searching found me a brand new, OEM alternator, imported from the US, at R3900, including import duty and postage. The kicker? I had the alternator within 3 weeks. Absolutely exorbitant prices and dismal delivery from Mitsu Pinetown.

Second Incident: Wed 29th July 2015: I phoned Mitsubishi in Pinetown armed with the VIN number of my vehicle and ordered a reverse switch for my vehicle. The part is ex-JHB and in order to have it shipped, I was requested to please make payment first, upon which I asked for an Invoice to be e-mailed to me. It is now 4 workings days later, and still no invoice. Based on previous experience with Mitsu Pinetown, I will look elsewhere for my required part.

Lesson? Mitsu parts from the agents are a rip-off, and the service from Pinetown is abysmal.

Dean
