I Was leasing a unit at 367 Oak Avenue, I paid deposit (Which was more than the rent) and one month's rent upfront. When I moved in it was infested with ****roaches but there was a fumigating spray they used supposedly to kill off the infestation before I moved in but the same night ****roaches were back in their numbers, I needed a place to stay urgently and was closer to work, I would spray every night with doom but they seem to increase by the night and at work ****roaches would crawl out of my laptop bag. The walls are so thin that you can hear the person in the next unit literally whispering and I complained about the couple in the next unit numerous times but little was done about it as the noise carried on, I eventually just let the matter go as no feedback was provided regarded my complaints. I have recently requested to move out as I have found work in a different province, I am being advised of charges that were not mentioned in my contract, to the point that they are taking my deposit and then charging me extra on top. I requested the lady to show and explain me on the contract that I signed that I would be liable for all the charges they are charging me but she refused. Her name is Lerato Mkandla. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in and I've seen my share of bad places.
Awesome experience at Freshstop Southgate Durban, great food and service. Their Fish n chips are amazing everytime served fresh. Tried other FreshStops for same but none compare to Southgate. Keep it up!
Today I went to Makro Arbour Crossing in Amanzimtoti, I was accompanying my mother who is a pensioner as she wanted to open a credit card facility with Makro, there was no one servicing the Credit desk when we arrived at 11:00, a lady at a different desk got on the landline phone and notified someone that there were customers waiting at the Credits desk, after waiting for more than 15 minutes a lady appears and without any apologies offered for keeping us waiting gets right on with business, when I asked her why there was no one at her desk for so long, boldly she says "I was on break", asked her for her name she said it's Kaitlin, I asked to speak to her manager she said she is not in today, asked her what her manager's name is and she gave me the name Evan. I find it odd that such a big company like Makro can be so negligent at servicing their customers and making sure that there is a person available at every desk at all times and teaching their staff proper customer service etiquette. I am bitterly disappointed.
