I had an awesome journey with the incredible people at Werkie.co.za. Each and every person that I interacted with throughout each stage of the process was super friendly, professional, helpful, patient, kind and genuinely invested in my job search with me. A special thank you to Anika and Celesti for all the arrangements you handled and always keeping an open line of communication with me, answering all my questions and being so invested in helping me find a good fit. You guys do recruitment the right way! I would easily recommend their service to anyone looking for work. Warm regards, Nic
Absolutely ******** how their loans department operates. First of all, the contracts do not explain anything regarding how loan extensions work. It does not state the cost of an extension nor does it mention how many extensions a contract has left. But that's not the biggest issue, what's ******** about how they operate is that they do not extend an existing loan agreement. They create a brand new loan every time you extend and charge you the initiation fee every time on top of the the monthly service fee and the interest accrued. For instance, I have a loan of R6700 on some of my goods. I extended once, paid the initiation fee, interest and service fee, in total it was roughly R950 on the first extension(which I understand because the initiation fee is payable on the first extension(at least that's how it should work and how other pawn shops operate)). So, one would expect the second extension to just be the monthly interest plus the monthly service fee but no, today I had to extend my loan for an amount of R1162 because they charged me the R845 initiation fee again. This means, that if I end up using all 5 available extensions, I will have given these guys R5500 and still owe them R7800 to get my items back. So in total I would be giving them R13,300 on a R6700 loan! That's almost 100% profit! It's ridiculous and surely this cannot be legal, an initiation fee is charged once upon the creation of a new contract, not extending an existing loan agreement. Do not advertise using the word "extension" when in fact you are creating a brand new contract and charging all the original fees every time because that is not the definition of an extension. The contract does NOT state that the initiation fee is charged monthly nor does it specify that a "new" contract will be entered into upon extension. I will take my stuff back at the end of May and take them to Cash Crusaders for a new loan agreement where they do credit the right way and not capitalise off of their patrons with such disgust. Cash Converters will never see me again for as long as I live and I will do anything in my power to keep people away from this abusive credit provider who is using some sort of loop hole in the national credit act probably and getting away with it. Don't trust this company folks. They're ********s, I phoned multiple departments and they said all the branches are doing this, not just the branch I'm using at Moreleta Square. Please be careful before trusting your goods to them as they make it near impossible to retrieve them. Cash Converters, shame on you!
