This company promises outcomes they cannot achieve as they clearly are learning as they go and as such cost me dearly financially and psychologically.
I took out an extended warranty policy for my old car. Today I wanted to see if I could claim for a replacement of an ignition coil. To my shock I discovered that my policy expired on 30 December 2021, not one reminder was received in this regard and to top it off they have continued deducting my premium and going as far as to increase the premium last month!!!! When I queried this I was told that I should know when my policy expires!!! So I “cancel” my EXPIRED contract and insist on a refund for the months of premiums I’ve paid for nothing! I then get a cancellation letter stating “ Cover will lapse at midnight on 06/07/2022 due to PRE-OWNED WARRANTY VEHICLE 15 YEARS AND OLDER.”. What!!! They already lapsed it in December and still charged me for it!!!
After my initial complaint on 2nd Feb I was promised a refund within 72 hrs... today is the 8th and still no refund!!
I was trading in a vehicle, I informed Miway on the 19th January of the change. I was told that I had a pro rata payment and a refund and that they would offset both with the premium due on 1 Feb. on the 22nd Jan they deducted the pro rata premium and put my bank account into a negative. My bank reversed the debit. I phoned and informed Miway and was told oops sorry, we will correct this immediately. On the 25th I get an sms that because the pro-rata had not been paid I was not covered. Again I called Miway, as when you request a call back nobody does, so you land up holding for 20 mins just to speak to someone. Again I was apologised to . By now I had had enough and cancelled with Miway and went with Momentum. I was informed that I would get my refund on the 1st Feb. Suprise they deducted the premium for the cancelled contract and put me into overdraft again!!! When I called i was told that they would cancell my policy.. which was supposed to have been done on the 25th Jan and that it will take 72 hours to get my refund. This was after having to explain the entire story again.!!!
Basically I traded in my old car on the 19th of January and decided to put Tracker in the new car.
Firstly I was charged R400 cancellation fee for the existing Tracker, then i was also not informed that the premiums for the old car were still going to be deducted as it was after the 15th and one person I spoke to at the call centre said it was because they need a months notice, so Instead of paying R628 for my Tracker (including the cancellation fee), my bill was R832.28!

Basically I have paid for Tracker this month for both cars for February and when I called head office to ask if they could refund for the traded in vehicle I was told sorry but the invoices are done on the 15th so there is nothing we can do, and the same went for their \Agility\" policy which usually cost R29 per month, I landed up paying R109.10

I think this is totally unfair, as I retained my business with Tracker instead of cancelling outright.
