I used Brytons of SA to move to the UK in August last year. I believed that my move would be finalised by Britannia in the UK as it is their sister company. The collection and packing of my goods in SA went without a hitch. Unfortunately my experience in England was far from pleasant. The delivery was organised by a company called Lares Relocation Services the agent for Brytons. They lost boxes which I proved when I sent the video of their delivery but have supp**** no answer as to what happened and no result in finding my lost goods. They were unpacking at the front door of the building instead of delivering to my apartment door and unpacking there. They lost a candle holder down the lift shaft of the building without telling me about it. They said they gave excellent service but their staff were difficult and belligerent. Despite numerous letters to Lares and to Brytons I have been unable to resolve my dilemma. I was most disappointed that Brytons totally ignored my requests that they deal with their agent to get a result. My contract was with them but they ignored my situation. It was strange that all the boxes which went missing were marked as ornaments ! I could never recommend this company to anyone else and I hope that my story will help steer people to get a more service oriented service provider.
I had famuly visiting from the UK with 2 6 year old boys and was looking for a resort which offered entertainment for the children and Breakers supp**** that. I was very glad that my expectations were achieved
Had the Queen Prawn special on Friday and it was sooooo good.
My meal at Piatto Glen Ballad Mall last night.was disgusting. I ordered Oriental Wok which I have enjoyed many times and was served a brown mush which was so soaked in either Tamari or soy sauce it was revolting.
I booked a "luxury apartment" in Cape Town for January. This was not as per the photos on the web. It may have looked good at one time but the flat was grubby with broken things. A bed in the lounge and an extra bed in the one bedroom made the flat look like a hostel . Cupboards falling apart. Main door handle came off in the guest's hand. Could not close the bedroom door because the guests couldn't breathe as the aircon was dripping water and could not be used. Aircon in the main bedroom also dripping water. The place was grubby. The lift was not working. No one there to meet us when we arrived. We had to sit on the pavement to wait for someone to come. Difficulty getting hot water in the basin of the one bathroom. The owner could not speak good English and it was difficult to liaise with her over getting access to the premises and then when we told her we were not going to stay because of the condition of the apartment. This was not a luxury apartment as advertised. Far from it. I complained to Airbnb when I returned to Joburg and after some time of backwards and forwards I ended up with nothing. The owner was supposed to be a "superhost" but was far from it. I had to pay for 2 lots of accommodation so that I could give my daughter and her fiance the holiday they deserved.
