SHOCKING and utterly useless. This department should be shut down
We have had our insurance with Santam for around 4 years, had some vehicle claim on our business. However, we have a very expensive machine, that was accidentally dropped on site whilst working, and since February 2025, we have been battling to settle the claim! It's under all risk insured, were assessed by 2 companies. The first thing when we got the machine back, is it's not charging. Made contact with our broker and told her this. Second company access took more than 3 weeks.... no buttons working and the screen is not working. We are told, its wear and tear! How can it be wear and tear if it fell, 2 companies accessed, both did something to the machine, and now it is not working at all! We are a service company, doing in situ balancing and alignment. This R240k Pruftechnik was damaged even more by the ppl accessing it, we loose business everyday, and they claim wear and tear! ****mers, ****s and *****'s! The worst insurance company !! R14k monthly installment and this is the level of service received. Disgusting!
Utterly USELESS!! Thats all i can say! My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, one month ago, ONE MONTH of no treatment, ONE MONTH more to go through hell, ONE MONTH more to have either been healed, or a chance for the cancer to have spread. But do they CARE? NO!!! But do they collect their money by debit order?? OH YES!! Cancer is not the type of thing one wishes for, but it happened. Key health is now denying him life, and treatment. He's money is more important than he's life, or so it seems. I will definitely NOT recommend them to anyone!
I worked for a company, 20plus years ago, and did for a reason i cannot remember, not have my provident fund paid out. When i turned 55 and had my retirement plans paid out, i received a mail regarding unclaimed fund, and was given Alexander Forbes mail address to mail my claim documents to. This was done September 2022. December 2022, i was informed my documents have been accepted and loaded. January 5th, 2023, i received a sms indicating my Tax Directive was approved, and that payout will take place within 14 days. Needless to say, i have not received my money, i have been calling, and "calls are logged" to the Fund Administrators, but still no feedback. I have requested names, phone numbers & e mail addresses, for the Fund Administrators, so i can follow up myself, and hopefully get some answers, but that information, apparently, cannot be shared. Alexander Forbes STOLE my money, and now after i was informed i have money owed to me, does not want to pay me out. I was never ever informed by anybody, let alone Alexander Forbes, that i have unclaimed benefits. Is this how they make their money, by stealing unclaimed funds? Not paying out, only tells me that they are a bunch of crooks! No feedback, no communication, NOTHING! The Client Service Centre is also useless! They call logs, and don't communicate with you. If this is the type of service me, as a unclaimed benefit member receives, what is the level of service you get when you allow them to manage your money!? I am at my witz end! This has been dragging on for way too long, and they are just not interested in helping! Trying to squeeze out a little more interest for themselves.
