Cameron has no sense of urgency and did not fix my pool adequately. This has resulted in irate clients who might terminate their lease because Cameron is so unprofessional that he cant even confirm a date for fixing a leak issue that he has been trying to fix on and off for a few years. I have spent thousands of rands with Cameron and he does not care. Please proceed carefully if you ever consider working with him. The first time I received a quote from North Side Pool was on the 24th of September 2023 for R27,850 to fix a leak. He subsequently sent me an additionally quote of R2,385. I paid a deposit of R19,495 on the 8th of January as per the terms and conditions. The work to fix the leak started on the 12th of January 2024. On the 15th of January I paid the additional invoice of R2,385. I was constantly asking Cameron for feedback because he was not proactively giving me updates. The work was completed on the 22nd of January 2024. I paid him the balance of R8,355 on the 24th of January 2024. On the 24th of March I informed Cameron that the water level had dropped. My tenant was the one who informed me of the issue. On the 3rd of April I sent him a message informing him that the work that he did had not fixed the problem. I was quite irate after spending close to R30,000 to fix the leak. On the 29th of April 2024 he sent me a message saying that he was hijacked so he was only able to go to my place on the 4th of May. He sent me another quote on the 5th of May 2024 for R2,250 because they missed a spot which was causing 10% of the leak which they agreed to not charge us to fix. I provided him feedback that his root cause analysis was poor and asked that he fix it free of charge. He proceeded to defend himself blaming the water level which prevented him from running the pump. I paid him the deposit on the 13th of November 2024. From the 21st of November 2024 until the 16th of December I had to follow up with him to complete the job. On the 6th of January 2025 he sent me a message saying that he was 95% done and that he must go and do the final patch. I paid the balance of the invoice on the 30th of January. On the 20th of March I sent him a message complaining about how much he charged me for Resin. He charged me for 100kg of resin but when you looked at the pool it looked like it wasn't used. It also looked like he only did one coat of paint and the mosaics didn't cover the length of the steps. Cameron didn't respond to any of my messages. On the 11th of September I sent him a message informing him that the pool is still leaking. He responded to say that is where the water level is supposed to be but the pool maintenance guy disputed that. From the 16th of September until now Ive been begging him to book an appointment to fix my pool with my current tenant. He promised to contact my tenant and book an appointment. He eventually went to assess the pool and sent me a message my original warranty is no longer valid to the new pool contractor alterations the fact that I classified his workmanship as shoddy and would inspect and repair the leak as a new project and not fixing the work that he originally did. From the 24th of September 2025 I've been asking him to confirm a date when he can go to my place to fix the leak and his response is he is extremely busy on 3 contracts and will go to my place when he gets a gap. Today is the 14th of October and he still hasn't been to my place and now my tenant wants to cancel his lease because I took too long to fix the pool. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. Please be careful when dealing with Cameron and North side pool services.
Cell C Fibre started fraudulently debiting my account with an amount of R1,399 a month in February of 2018 despite the fact that I never opened an account with them. They continued to steal my money until November 2021. Cell C Fibre have stolen R48,000 in total over the last three years. On the 28th of October 2021 I reported they theft to them and they haven't refunded me despite my case being with someone in the billing department since the end of November 2021. I've also escalated my case to Muzi Mashinini the CEO's office. In December, I opened a case of theft and fraud with the South African Police Service hoping that it would create a sense of urgency with Cell C Fibre but that hasn't helped either. They continue to drag their feet and are delaying refunding the money that they stole in the first place. Since opening the case I have been assisted by Stanley Shongwe, Thulile Mkhize, Annalisa Brown, Mazwikayise Shange, and Muzi Mashinini from Cell C Fibre and Cell C. I've also been assisted by Afrihost who confirmed that my wifi contract with them was cancelled and disconnected on the 1st of October 2018. On the 23rd of December 2021 Cell C support also sent me a message after I wrote a complaint on twitter. Administrators with the following initials responded to my DM's on twitter SM, MP, PN, & NH. I'm very disappointed with Cell C Fibre's conduct and I hope that they will be held accountable for their unethical business practices.
