SCAM They apparently ship the item from overseas with no tracking number via post but it does not ever arrive. It has a South African website but is based in USA. I doubt anything was actually shipped.

I used to have an internet account with Telkom. It must be 5 Years ago when I wanted to cancel my month to month agreement with telkom. I had been a client for years but their line was constantly down (I work from home so it was unbearable) and the internet was very expensive. Fibre was installed in the area and I tried to contact someone (anyone) at telkom to cancel my account. All I was told there is no department nor call centre for cancelling accounts and the only way is to email them requesting to cancel. I did this for months only receiving the automated responses requesting for a number of documents in order to cancel my account. I tried phoning, being on hold for hours everyday only to be told the same thing, you can only email there is no call department for this. I sent the documents requested countless times with no actual response. Eventually I gave up and just disconnected the internet and stopped payment after paying one month’s notice. Since then I have been harassed relentlessly by both telkom and very aggressive telkom debt collectors. It has been so many years and no matter how many times I explain I cancelled my account, the harassment never ends. I’ve even moved house since then. Recently I received a call from telkom asking if I would like to upgrade my package (?!?!) So if you want to sign up for a life time of daily harassment, sign up with telkom.
I only use Telkom for the Wifi service. <br> On 20 March 2015 my line stopped working. I informed Telkom on that day... and have not stopped informing them as my line was never fixed. I was unable to get Telkom to fix it at all. It is now over 2 months later and they have suspended my account due to non payment. I have desperately tried to get them to help me but they informed me I must pay for the service I have not received in order for them to consider helping me.<br> This is CRIMINAL it is against the consumer protection act. They can see how many times I have logged faults and agree that I have not received the service since 20 March but still insist that they cannot even lodge a new fault on the suspended account until I pay for the service I have not received. They could not care less that it is against the consumer protection act and blatantly refuse to help me. <br> <br> Telkom is criminal and I refuse to pay for a service I have not received! The least they could do is contact me to resolve this matter but instead I am shunted from one department to the next, all telling me it is not their problem. <br> <br> I BEG you people, do NOT use Telkom, it has caused me endless torture for the last year.
