On 27 August 2024, my son left his iphone in the Corolla my fiancé was driving to drop them off at school, without her knowledge. After that she went to wash the car at Engen Bryanston Sloane street. She did not know about the iphone of my son in the Corolla, and she did not remove it before the car wash. Apparently the only worker that cleaned the car was a man called Prosper. When my fiancé picked up my son from school, he asked where his iphone was, it was not where he had left it. They looked throughout the car and could not find it. It would appear to be a reasonable conclusion from the above that the iphone was ****** at Engen Bryanston at Sloane street car wash. When confronted, the staff and manager didn't show remorse. I used to spend thousands of Rand at this store, buying gas, drinks and petrol, but I won't be visiting them again.
King Shaka airport. I notice the closing times have not been updated since the curfew times changed, and it closed at 20h15. Curfew is from midnight to 04h00. Our flight is has been delayed to 22h15. (Kulula MN504) Especially during such trying times, it would be very good if we can utilize the Lounge. Instead we were summarily thrown out. I am traveling alone with my two children. We had a very bad experience. The whole reason why I got a Diners Club card was so that I can use the Bidvest Lounge.
I've bought a couch yesterday in excess of R10000, and payed for it with EFT from FNB, funds set to clear immediately (cost me extra R40). The payment advice was also emailed through to their sales person.

However, this morning they refuse to release my couch to the transport person, because they say it is not reflecting on their internal report.

So it turns out, Severn cannot actually access the bank account to check if my payment has 'gone through'. She has to wait for some remote accounts department, who sends a report through once a day. So this is a very slow internal accounting process. Their excuse for this is 'to combat fraud'.

This amounts to bad service. Slow service is bad service. Moral of the story: pay them by Credit Card rather than EFT.

Hope that helps some people!
