Received a gift from The Space Gateway at R1079. They stated no refunds so i decided to exchange it for something else as i had no choice. I chose an item for R1050. Was told they cannot give me the difference, i had to take something else and pay the top up. The cheapest item was a purse the size of my palm for R145. Mind you, i had come to do an exchange and was not willing to spend any money. I refused and told them keep the credit of R29. They insisted they cannot. (Which shop refuses to take free money that I'm giving them) Eventually i said give me 15 paper bags at R2 each that they use to pack purchased items in, i will pay the difference of R1. They yet again refused and said they can't allow me to buy their bags to put other items i may buy and walk around the mall with it. I said fine, I'll buy the bags, pay for it and they can keep it and use it for their customers. They yet again refused. I asked to speak to the manager, they phoned the manager and eventually tell me unfortunately it gets worse, it's a sale item and they cannot even exchange it. I wasted 1 hour in that store. The item i received as a gift was so cute, i just wasn't happy with the fit. The item i wanted to exchange it for was a bag that was also so cute. Just wish they didn't have such a ridiculous policy. I will be telling everyone i know to never ever buy from The Space.
A cash deposit of R2500 had been made at an Advanced atm in Suncoast Durban into my account. All showed successful on the screen. We requested a receipt but there was no paper in the machine. Once i left i received an sms saying the money had been reversed. Next day i filled a dispute form at Phoenix branch. Constantly called to check progress of query. Finally i get a call back today & they say that the money had come out of the machine & they can't assist further. FNB needs to thoroughly investigate this matter & not rob innocent people. I don't have to tell u how to do ur job, go & check cctv footage at ur Suncoast ATM & see which fnb customer used the atm after me & get their details & follow up! That's how u do a proper investigation if you wana keep your customers happy & want them to have peace of mind! It is through you guys faulty ATM machines that i know have to suffer the consequences! It is really disappointing. I consider FNB to be 1 of the most prestigious banks, hence i bank with them. Now that i have a problem, none of the staff seem genuinely concerned to help me, they're simply giving me every story in the book as to why my query can't be resolved! I want my money
