*****ulent please beware. My bank was alerted to this red flag and notified me immediately after making payment that another substantial amount was debited thereafter, which I had not approved or agreed to. Card needed to be suspended as a result. Zero response to repeated emails to this company regarding the matter. Stay away. I wonder how many other unsuspecting victims of mySpy THEFT there are out there.
I have according to Vodacom been subscribed to 3 DIFFERENT "services" today. I DID not subscribe..which means Vodacom's supposed verification methods to prevent this sort of thing..patently DO NOT WORK. How convenient? Considering all 3 services: Daily AYCE, Playinc Daily and Stylix are all listed on Vodacom's official website???!!! All instances required USER input to cancel!! If I by chance don't see the message... Money would essentially be taken from me WITHOUT my consent...aka THEFT. So who is responsible then. And where is vodacom's official input on the matter? On their website? Why is Vodacom NOT doing more to make people more aware of these SCAMS...perhaps by starting to explain how they happen in the first place? Instead I have to struggle to navigate Vodacoms fragmented website for some method of reporting this "scam/fraud"..a truly horrible website....what an utter diabolical mess.. only to end up having a chat with Toby the "oracle", solver of all problems. God help us all if AI dev continues in the direction of Toby. Even the "Speak Up Hotline" wasn't working. Just in case anyone was wondering where those ludicrously high costs per Mb go...it's not the IT department and sure as **** isn't HR either. A thoughtful response to my questions would be appreciated although I won't be holding my breath.
Call me optimistic, but I thought that Ster-Kinekor, after allowing me to book and pay for 2 movie tickets for 5pm, drive an hour to George, buy their popcorn and raspberry slush puppy, only to be told that said movie had been cancelled earlier that day and that their IT dept was to blame for the booking....would AT LEAST offer me some free popcorn for my troubles. But no. Not. Even. 1. Kernel.
What a cheap skate, parsimonious, responsibility shirking company. Despicable and lacking in principle. After years of operating one would think you had an IT department that would operate with some level of competency and that when not, you would accept some responsibility and not allow your customer to foot the bill for your ineptitude!
Lynette, your email: \I have followed up with our IT department on this
