I, Randall hereby would like to forward a customer complaint towards Simone RondGanger,working at EconoFoods Cleary Park,Port Elizabeth Branch. On Sunday,11 May 2025 I was shopping at EconoFoods Cleary Park at the butchery section. I was helped by Simone RondGanger,working at the butchery section in EconoFoods Cleary Park Upon placing my order, I was very sarcastically and rudely answered by Simone RondGanger, to the point when she said to me that she is finishing off at EconoFoods in July this year in any case. I was very surprised by her comments and told her not to be rude with me, since I’m supposed to be the customer here. I were even told by her fellow colleagues that I was not the only customer that’s been complaining about her rude attitude towards customers. I really hope that EconoFoods Cleary Park will do drastic steps against her, since she quickly ruining the branches reputation with her rude attitude.
I would like to share my terrible experience at Pick n Pay Linton Grange branch in Port Elizabeth. Pick n Pay Linton grange advertised a Lamb special that will run on Saturday,22 March from 07H00-10H00 in the morning at their butchery section. When I arrived at the store at 08H00 on the morning of Saturday 22 March it was said by the butchery staff and butchery manager that there was unfortunately no meat available due to problems with the meat delivery, and that we should give in our name and telephone numbers and Pick n pay will then contact us when the meat arrives in the week. After giving in my name at the manager's office, I saw Pick n Pay staff walking with lamb meat packs that I was told is not available, and the pick n pay staff putting these lamb packs into customer's trolley. When I asked them why then I was told there is no lamb packs available, I was told these were telephone orders by the Store Manager. I am really hugely disappointed in the way Pick n Pay management ( Store manager and butchery Manager) handled this, as they were lying when they said there was no lamb pack available. I also have to mention the very rude behaviours of the Pick n Pay linton grange Butchery Manager towards the customers. I had to leave Pick n Pay Linton grange disappointed. I would like this matter to be addressed, since I believe the customers that was in the shop early was badly treated and disrespected by the pick n Pay Management. I would appreciate if this matter can taken up with this store.
I am a regular customer at Pick n Pay Cleary Park for +-20 years in port elizabeth and would like to know why this store always let their staff members have access to their marked down products before the pick ''n pay customers have access. Whenever you asked the staff members at this specific store, why do they not give the customers first preference, they say that they must also buy stuff. This to me cant be right since the customer will then never have the privilege of buying these marked down product from this specific store. I'm highlighting this since I have been to other retail stores, and did not see this type of behaviour at other retail stores. I would like that this Pick 'n Pay Cleary Park branch in Port Elizabeth to please explain whether this is policy for this store or is this just a disregard towards the normal pick 'n pay paying customer.
I wrote a complaint regarding Fruit and Veg City last week Thursday, 21 May 2015 for bad service at till point. Today is 26 May 2015, and fruit and Veg City has not yet contacted me regarding this complaint. I need to know if this is their way of making me to forget this incident. I would like this matter to be escalated please,since this could happen to another innocent customer at their Fruit and veg City , Newton Park branch in Port Elizabeth.
On 20 May 2015,my wife and I was shopping at Fruit and Veg City in Newton Park,Port Elizabeth.We payed for our goods at the till point using our Debit Card.Our cellphone responded with a message,telling us the sale went through,and that the money was taken from our account.Upon this the cashier at the till point told us that the sale did not go through,since it did not reflect on the slip that came from the swipe machine at the till.We told her the money was taken from our account.She responded by calling her supervisor,and the supervisor called the Manager.I explained my situation to the Manager,who couldn't give me an straight answer.They told us the money will be reversed by the Bank within 2-3 hours from that time ,and that they had to swipe the amount of again,which they did. It's the 21 May 2015,and the money has not yet been reversed by the bank as told to us by the Manager of Fruit and Veg City. I think their service and attitude was really pathetic.
