I ordered a yellow velvet wingback chair online on the 13th of March. My order was supposed to be delivered on the 19th of March. Despite emails, a physical visit to a branch, several phone calls to the courier company, the third party agent and LM Customer Services 4 times, STILL NOT A SINGLE PHONE CALL TO APOLOGISE, EXPLAIN THE DELAY OR ENSURE A DELIVERY DATE. OVER R3000 SPENT AND NOT ONE PERSON IS PREPARED TO CALL ME. I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND RECEIVED RADIO SILENCE. THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINT NUMBER IS AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME.
I bought a bull terrier puppy online from Salomi but the voice on the other end of the line was a black person with a French accent. I was assured the puppy would be delivered in good health with vaccinations etc by a courier company called Jetpark Logistics. An additional R9100 was requested for the correct crate and then another R25000 for the correct paperwork. Breeders World assured me that they would do everything to sort the mishap out. No puppy, R5300 down from Breeders World and another R9100 from Jetpark logistics. Absolutely devastated.
On the 7th of December I visited the Nedbank Greenstone branch to draw funds from my access bond. I was made to wait 45 minutes and eventually met with an extremely surly consultant named Patience who told me that I would have to wait 2 to 3 days for the money to be paid into my bank account as the account was with an alternative bank. On the 13th of December I enquired with the branch, both Patience who assured me that her part had been done and also with Ben, the stand-in for the Branch Manager. I was assured that the transfer had been done. So followed daily phone calls to Ben, later another stand-in Team Leader called Promise who, on the 18th of December promised to sort out the delay and call me back by close of business to resolve the matter. My money has still not been received. This is my money, not a loan. Some tell me it will take 2 to 3 days, others tell me 4 to 5 days, yet another woman in the Home loans department told me it would take 7 to 9 days. Now that it is 12 days in total and I still don''t have my money, no one calls back, no one knows how to escalate the problem. The money was required for a very specific reason, the bank clearly is not interested in me, good service, follow up or their reputation. Ben promised to call back to trace the funds, never called. Promise did the same. I struggled to get the name of the Area Manager, Naresh Babu. Eventually I called and although two of the people (I had to call back twice) answering the switchboard either did not know who he was or whether he was in fact, on leave or coming in to work at some point. A lady called Romantha promised that Naresh would call me back to sort out my issue. 10h06, still no phone call and still no money.
I contacted Liza to supply furniture, tablecloths, chair covers and overlays for an 8 and 10 year old girls birthday party. I also ordered a chocolate fountain and manis, pedis and facials for a little girls spa. Party packs were supposed to contain hair bands, a nail varnish, Several attempts to comtact Liza to confirm times and arrangements went unanswered. When i eventually managed to speak to her I specifically asked if the chairs were high enough for8 and 10 year olds to sit at. I was assured that the chairs would be big enough. I had to pay a deposit which I did. On the day of the party Liza arrived at my house and dumped filthy chairs and tables in my front yard and a plastic container of table cloths etc. We had to clean all the furniture ourselves and my 10 year old daughter found a black widow spider under one of the chairs. The chairs were fit for 3 year olds and were way too small for anyone to sit at comfortably. The chair covers were way too big, no chocolate fountain. Attempts to contact Liza were fruitless. Party packs had cheap lip gloss and cheap plastic loom bands. No facials only make up done. I was made to pay the balance before they left.
