I am very dissapointed in the Checkers at Mayville Mall in Pretoria :) They supp**** the most amasing broccoli salad for my wedding in 2014, people are still talking about it! I had a party to celebrate my 50th Birthday on Saturday the 6th of January 2024 and again decided to order the salad. I visited the store on 19 December 2023 and Boitumelo took my order. I asked for enough salad for 50 people as an add on to our spit braai. She told me that it would cost around R300 - R400. Another male employee who was standing closeby told me that he would estimate the salad to be around R600. I phoned the store about a week after my visit just to confirm my order. I spoke to Ada, she confirmed the order and since I didn't have big containers she offered to borrow me their containers. I stay quite far away, therefore I asked my Mom who stays close by the Mall to bring the salad with on Saturday. She phoned me from the store indicating that they knew nothing of the borrowing of their containers. They transferred the salad into flimsy plastic containers which posed quite a problem since the salad had a LOT of sauce and it kept spilling over.. They waited quite some time but eventually got the salad. She almost had a heart attack when she saw the price but assumed that it was what I organised with the store. When she arrived at the party venue I almost had a heart attack when I saw the quantity of the salad as well as the price she paid for it: R1363.04 for a side salad for 50 people!!! We only managed to finish one of the four salad containers, which left three! We split one container between us (family), which still left two.. One can only eat SO much broccoli salad, needless to say I had to throw away two containers full of salad, amounting to plus minus R700!! My mom initially offerred to pay for the salad to help me since I was organising the party on a budget, but I can't expect her to pay that amount. I have to pay her back at least R700 since she only bargained on the R600 that I was "quoted".. I phoned Ada on Monday and explained the whole situation. She apologised for forgetting to tell the team working on the Saturday about the containers that I was going to borrow, which I accepted. She promised to discuss the whole salad issue with her manager and get back to me. I spoke to her today, according to her Manager (Linda) there is nothing they can do for me. I just have to "such it up buttercup", my loss and my school money I guess for not getting a formal quote. A lesson well learned!! I will not be supporting the Checkers again and I honestly don't know if my family will either that stays very close by and buys all of their groceries there.. It seems to me that you can trust nobody's word anymore, which saddens me a lot.. In hindsight I should have taken the extra salad back immediately, but the party was on the other side of Pretoria and my guests were arriving.. I also did not think it fair to expect of my Mother to drive back to the store, I was very upset but had to put on my party face. I don't understand why I have to lose R700 (which to me is a LOT of money) because the Checkers employees doesn't know how to do portioning. I fed 60 people on the Saturday and we have all been eating the whole week and there is still two containers left of the four.. I expect the store to take responsibility for their blunder, and at the very least give me back the R700 for my loss as well as the inconvenience that the flimsy plastic containers caused me.. I can supply a photo of the slips as well as a photo of the size of the containers the salad was in if necessary.
I absolutely love everything about LIHM - Soap Oils and Herbs. What they stand for and the contribution they make in providing sustainable natural ingredients and products. I will always support them proudly 💖🤩
Wow what amasing customer service, blew me away!! Thank you Virbac for having my and my furkids' backs :)
I am very dissapointed in Pharma Valu Queenswood. I moved my chronic medication script to them thinking that I would rather support them in future. Their customer service is unfortunately not great, it seems that staff is not properly trained and they often do not have stock. I could never get Flomist there, they gave me a substitute which is not effective. I asked if they could stock it since I use it monthly but they did not seem interested. I ordered my repeat medication on 23 April 2023 since we were going away for the long weekend. When I wanted to pick it up on the 24th my menopause medication were not there (Estalis patches). Nobody let me know that it were not in stock when I ordered. The lady that helped me put a note on the computer screen for someone to let me know when it was available. I paid for it and she gave me the sticker with a pink "balance to follow" sticker. After the long weekend I visited the pharmacy again since no one phoned me back. They still did not have the medication. I was again promised that they would let me know when it is there. At the end of the week I phoned to enquire, it was still not there. I spoke to the Manager and she promised to get the Dispensary manager to sort it out and get back to me. Nothing happened.. I again phoned yesterday, still not there. I again spoke to the manager (Janie) who promised to sort it out by this afternoon. I phoned again today at 16h00, the lady I spoke to said they only have two drivers and they will let me know when my meds are there. Well, obviously no one phoned me.. Still no Estalis patches.. pathetic I am sorry to say.. I won't be taking my repeat script there, that is for sure!
I purchased two Daddy's Deals Vouchers for the printing of canvasses and submitted the vouchers along with the photos on 3 February 2023. I received a mail requesting Whatsapp communication from then on, I received one reply on my *****y regarding the status of my order on 13 February 2023 saying that an update will be send the same day.. It is now 20 February and I am still waiting... I have tried to call, whatapp and mail to no avail.. pathetic service and if I read the reviews correctly this is how they roll.. The few good ones may be someone that they paid...??
I ordered a product from Paradise Store on 15 May 2019 (Order #44083). Despite several attempts to follow-up on when I can expect delivery, I got one reply that said they had a problem with the supplier but sorted it out, and I could expect delivery in the near future (this was some time ago). I have send follow-up e-mails again on 19 August 2019, 23 August 2019 and again on 16 September 2019, with no response up to date and no delivery of my product either.. I tried to go to their website, but Google can't find it.. Go figure!! Don't trust this company, they seem to be a scam.
An unauthorised deduction went off from my bank account, I am battling to find contact details for Accomodation Direct on google.. want to ask what it is for... As far as I know I did not book anything through them.. Does anyone please have contact details for them? South African contact details please..
A transaction of R4,000 was done via my credit card by [URL Removed] on 17 June 2015. ABSA Fraud Division contacted me and I told them that the amount was not authorised. I also send an e-mail as requested. On 20 June 2015 the amount was deducted from my credit card, without the transaction being cancelled or stopped by the bank or Virgin Money. I phoned Virgin Money today and was told that it would take a calendar month to get back to me, by then the company that took my money could be long gone!! (Avaaz is a well-known and big company but what if that was not the case?) I am very disappointed in Virgin Money and does not feel that they are doing their all to protect me from fraud, I intend to close my credit card as soon as this is sorted and I have paid it in full. Not cool, I feel violated and afraid!!
A transaction of R4,000 was done via my credit card by [URL Removed] ABSA Fraud Division contacted me regarding the transaction, I indicated that I did not approve it. I was told to also send an e-mail to Disputes, which I did, I also gave the ref nr as indicated in the sms I received. I was told to contact Avaaz and ask them to reverse the transaction, which I tried to do but up to date I could not get hold of them. I have send several e-mails to no avail.. I am glad I am not banking with ABSA if this is what their customer service look like!!
An amount of R4,000 was deducted from my credit card on 20 June 2015 without my approval. I opened one of their mails on 17 June 2015, read the contents and closed it again. A few minutes later I received an e-mail thanking me for my donation. I almost had a heart attack!! I immediately replied on the mail that I did not authorise the amount and it must be a mistake. I also received an sms from ABSA Fraud Division to ask whether the amount was authorised, I phoned back and indicated that it was not authorised. I also send e-mails to ABSA and Avaaz indicating that the amount was not authorised and that the transaction had to be reversed. The only reply I received from Avaaz was automated and indicated that they were on a retreat and would get back to me. Even though I reported the unauthorised deduction the amount was deducted from my credit card on 20 June 2015, I am very disappointed in my credit card service provider, ABSA Bank and [URL Removed] I want my money back!!
