Sanlam could do way better to communicate and interact with it's clients. Their emails and website seem intentionally designed to confuse clients. Last month I discovered I have extra cash in my account, which I usually do not touch until two or three days after my salary is deposited. I missed a payment and, as a reminder, all I received was one email with confusing instructions and steps to login to their portal to download a more confusing Pdf with further instructions to make the payment via manual bank deposit or eft. I tried whatsapp which was of no help at all, the chat-to-consultant option is not available after mid-day. When calling the client services the bot asks you to 'speak' your ID number, which it does not recognise and then asks you punch it in and hangs up on you. I was finally able to pay via Eft but still waiting for confirmation but ultimately the expirience left me feeling that they intentionally designed their system to see us fail.
Great service, in terms of advice follow-up calls from Makhosazo Mbatha. Thank you 🙂
After my last complaint about Cell C's services, I received some emails with more reference numbers and calls telling me my case will be elevated or transfered to a different department. The issue here is that Cell C is charging me R3810.00 for an cancellation I did not request. Most people would solve the issue by cancelling the cancellation I did not request, but for Cell C it is easier to ignore all of that I have raised, go ahead and debit my account. I reversed that transaction on the morning of 25 November as there was no agreement between Cell C and I to take that money from my account. On Sunday, 28 November, I was received yet another call from a Cell C lady that yet again told me someone else will contact me. I have waited for the call until today when they decided to terminate/disconnect my sim. I am now unable to make calls because of their internal error thay refuse to resolve.
A single star is way too much for Cell C. I changed employement in April, I called them along with everyone that debits my account to change the debit date - Everyone was able to change the date to the 25th on their systems but Cell C changed it to the last day of the month and then to the 26th not the 25th. I discovered this error when i was already in arreas and it took anothe two le months just to solve it. On the 15th November they tried to debit my account again, with no authorisation from me to debit on that day. I called them only to discover that I again owe them an access of R3000 - I have caught up with what I was owing them, du to their neglegence and incompetence in October or September and nobody knows where this amount comes from but im promised the error will be fixed and im given a reference number. I email them again quoting the reference number and they say the amount I owe is an early cancelation fee but there are not records of my request to cancel my contract. All I know is that one contract was to come to the end of 24 months around about this time next year. If anyone at Cell C cares to read to the end, here are the reference numbers 1110302477, 127146800
Several months ago I called to cancel the Cell C Get it / Get more service. I was told the cancellation process takes 30 days. A month later they stopped billing me for the service, I was happy until they billed for two months this December. I called customer services which transfered my call to that department and I have to hold the line for long periods of time until I give up. My number is 0723624804, I just want to cancel the service. I do not use it.
In May 2015 I received a message saying my upgrade was successful and later another one saying it was a mistake. I was the relieved because I hadn't ask for a cobtract upgrade. An hour later a guy calls to explain the error they made, he explains that its resolved.
When I asked him he says I can apply for an upgrade after May 25 and he asks me to confirm my employement details which he already have.
After the 25th I go for a contract upgrade at Cell C East Rand Mall where they tell me a new phone was delivered to me. I had never applied nor accepted a phone. They tell me to write and submit an affidavit and ID, I did and they printed out an ID from their system. The ID has my date of birth, ID number but a different picture and date of issue. This was evidence enough that fraud has been committed, Cell C fraud department was contacted and given all the documents, they gave me a reference number and case number. They also promisee that the matter would be resolved in 14 days at most. It has been three months since the matter was brought into their attention. Evertime I call them they give me a new ref number and at the end of August I to start paying for that contract
