I had dropped my vehicle off on Tuesday 5 December 2017 at BMM Power in Wynberg, Sandton for them to do a number of service related issues and repair a few parts on my vehicle. I had indicated to the Manager (George) that I will be traveling and will collect my car from them on the morning of Friday 8 December, providing them with 2 full days to complete the work. I had provided them with the list of service issues to be seen to and repaired on 2 occasions - Once telephonically on Tuesday 5 December and reiterated these in person when I dropped the car off on the same day. I was given an assurance by George that my vehicle will be ready "first thing" on the morning of Friday 8 December. Upon me calling them at 08h30 on Friday morning to advise them that I am on my way to collect the vehicle, I was told that there is just a small bit of work on the vehicle that needed to be completed and that the vehicle will be ready in one hour. I got to the workshop exactly an hour later only to find out that they had only just started working on the vehicle and none of the work that I requested was completed. I was blatantly lied to! After querying this incredibly appealing service, I was told that it would be ready in another hour and half. Only to be contacted an hour later and told that they cannot source the spares that was required and that there will be an additional delay. I was called again about an hour later and informed that the spares have been sourced and given a price for the spares. I accepted the price quoted for the spares in desperation for my vehicle to be completed and returned to me as I needed it for the weekend. I subsequently called a family member who deals in BMW spares to find out what BMW charges for the spares that I require. I then realised that I was completely ripped off as BMM Power had charged me more than double what BMW themselves would have charged me for the spares that I required! Not only was the service massively delayed, I was also lied to and ripped off! Please be mindful of this if you ever intend using BMM Power. It is really not worth it...
I have a BMW that is off motor plan and chose to take it to Fangio who advertise themselves as BMW specialists. I briefed Miguel (chief mechanic) on the phone as well as his brother Jorge in person about everything that needs to be done on the car and also that I am happy to leave my car with them for 3 days before I go on holiday. After having briefed them, I was assured that they will take care of EVERYTHING on my to do list. I later discovered that they only did an oil change and advised me that I must take the car to BMW to do the rest of the wish list. Furthermore, they had advised me that I can pay them and claim the invoice back from my extended warranty provider, only to discover that they expect you to pay them upfront and the extended warranty provider pays THEM and not you. So now they have received a payment from me and will also get one from the extended warranty provider which they will apparently refund to me. <br> <br> Both Jorge and Miguel became extremely confrontational, rude and aggressive. They showed complete diserspect to a paying client! <br> <br> Be warned and NEVER use these jokers!
