We have been without power for 2 months now On Mbizi Farm Lodge after a transformer have been vandalised for stealing the copper wire. The municipality has been contacted on a daily basis Several times a day. but the ball is passed from one person to another. That is if the person answers his/her phone. We are going into month 3 with no indication when it will be fixed.
I run a business from home and upgraded my computer system. As a result I had to upgrade my Internet speed as well. Initially we upgraded from 2 MB/s to 4 MB/s. But decided to upgrade again to 10 MB/s. This contract go with unlimited ADSL. It has been about a month since we started our battle. We constantly get the message that we reached out cap limit and are put on soft cap. Our previous cap was 100 gig and as it is only the 6th of the month it is impossible even with the previous contract! The result is that our Internet is too slow to do our work on the system I am paying for!!! Further more our e-mails don't send and we cannot invoice our clients. We report the problem almost on a daily basis, which takes up about 3 hours of the working day. They either cut us off - resulting in repeating this time consuming process thus taking up time we could do invoicing - or make empty promises that NEVER result in anything. Telkom is now not just charging for something they are not delivering, but costs me additional money for a system I cannot use!
